We will go to Havra Sokak (Synagogue Street) which still has the same name. Then we will go to The Karatas Synagogue in Karatas. There is a Jewish Hospital where my kids were born as well. The assensor is also a historical attraction at the area which means "elevator" We will go to Alsancak to see modern Alsancak Synagogue if you would like to see an active one. The historical center of Izmir Jewish life was in the synagogues of "La Judea" the area of the bazaar where the synagogues are located, also known as "Havra Sokagi" and where some Jewish businessmen still work. La Judea is near the intersection of Gazi Osman Pasa Bulvari and Anafartalar Caddesi. Havra means Synagogue in Turkish. It will be a nice activity to see the Archeological and Ethnographical museums as well. Then we can drive to Kadifekale to see the ancient city walls and water cisterns built by Alexander the Great. There you will have a great panoramic view of Izmir.
