He used to take me to Ephesus when ı had five years of age and would let me speak about the history of the ancient site. As time passed, I decided to follow in his footsteps and became a guide. Ephesus was first erected by relentless Amazon women warriors and not surprisingly Ephesians kept for a very long time a mother goddess as their deity. They built one of the seven ancient wonders of the World. Though it has kept its importance throughout the ages, it lived its most properous era at the time of the Romans, the time that we call ''Pax Romana''. At their time, it became one of the most populated cities in the world. It became a center for Christians as Virgin Mary and John the evangalist lived here. There are very few ancient sites in the World that make you feel and experience what it is like to wander in those times. Some of the monuments inside the city are : Domitian Temple- Trajan Fountain-Hadrian Temple-Celcius Library-Great Theatre-Gymnasium-Roman Bath and many more. . Our day in Ephesus with Tolga was awesome! He even suggested a little earlier start time than I had originally planned, and that helped so much with the crowds and lines at the sights. He and the driver takes great care to make sure we were comfortable and pleased with our itinerary. The car was always close by and cool when we got in, which means a lot when it’s 90+ degrees!! We had a wonderful tour experience with Tolga. He made us feel very comfortable during our tour to Ephesus. He is very reliable as he also arranged a driver to pick us at the airport to our hotel as we landed very early in the morning. He is also knowledgable of the ancient culture and current affairs. we learnt a lot from him. We also enjoyed the lunch that he treated us to. It was awesome. One Of the best food and soup that we have ever tasted for Turkish food He also brought us to a beautiful place where they make carpets and clay pots. We bought a unique one of a kind piece. We would highly recommend his services to our friends.
Our trip to Ephesus was fantastic as was our guide Tolga. He was extremely knowledgeable and attentive to the neads of our aging bodies. He was also very flexible in allowing us to skip wahf we wanted and focus longer on what interested us. His father was a highly respected tour guide and he taught his son well. Absolutely nothing negative to say.
Tolga is a second generation Turk guide and extremely knowledgeable of Ephesus. He know everyone on it the area of our tour and is obviously highly respected. Tolga was the consummate guide; very well versed in Greek history, an expert on Ephesus, engaging, humorous, and fully attentive to the needs and desires of his group. Taking us to the weaving guild and providing a delicious, local lunch was an exceptional conclusion to our day with him. 5 adults from the USA went on this tour. We were picked up as schduled by Tolga Usun. I am writing this review on behalf of my daughter, son, their spouses and 15 year old grandson. Tolga Usun was a third generation tour guide and according to our travelers was unbelievably knowledgable about Ephasus and its history. The travelers were even introduced to an archeologist known by their family who was on site. They stopped for lunch, visited a silk production facility, and the House of the Virgin Mary. We highly recommend this tour.
I welcome you at Kusadasi Port and we drive to Virgin Mary House. It takes 25 minutes to arrive. We can arrange the timing in the house according to your wish but generally half an hour is good enough. We then go to Ephesus. We spend approximately one and a half hour tour in the ancient site. After Ephesus we stop for a photo at Temple of Artemis. We get our delicious local lunch in a beautiful garden. We will get a chance to see how Turkish women make their carpets as well. My transportation is made with a Private Mercedes Vito , Mercedes Sprinter or similiar quality vehicle. So the car standart will be very high. It will have a professional driver that will do the driving while ı explain about my beautiful country.
