Our tour of Ephesus with Ilkar was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip. From the moment we met him, it felt like we were exploring the area with a knowledgeable friend rather than just a tour guide. His knowledge of Ephesus and the surrounding region was incredible, but what stood out most was how thoughtfully he planned the day. He seemed to know exactly where to go and when to go there, helping us avoid the crowds and making everything feel relaxed, easy, and enjoyable. One of our biggest priorities was visiting the House of Mary, and Ilkar timed our visit perfectly. There were very few people there, which allowed us to spend meaningful time inside and truly appreciate such a special and peaceful place. Another unexpected favorite was visiting the small artists' village, where local crafts and traditions are still alive today. My husband even had the opportunity to try glassblowing himself, which became one of the most memorable experiences of our day and something we'll be talking about for years. We also visited the leather factory, jewelry showroom, and rug workshop. As the daughter of a jeweler, I especially enjoyed seeing the beautiful jewelry. The rug presentation was surprisingly one of the highlights of the tour. Tanner did an amazing job explaining the history, craftsmanship, and techniques behind the rugs, making it fascinating and educational. Even though we weren't shopping for a rug, everyone in our group genuinely enjoyed the experience. What we appreciated most about Ilkar was his attention to detail and his ability to personalize the day around what mattered to us. His planning, local knowledge, and warm personality made for an outstanding experience. If you're visiting Ephesus, we cannot recommend Ilkar highly enough. He helped turn a great day into an unforgettable one.

Great day with Ilker! He is very knowledgeable about the area and Turkey in general. So much history. We had a driver all day just for our group that made it very easy to see the sites. I would highly recommend Ilker and would use him again!

Ilker was a terrific tour guide! Very knowledgeable with the history of Ephesus. Navigated drop offs telling where to proceed while moving the car so easily located at the end of the tour rather than needing to walk back to the start. He provided us with a full diverse day managing to visit multiple sites without feeling rushed. Fantastic guide! Great lunch spot too! Fascinating rug demo with silk worm cocoons!

Four of us (two couples) spent a wonderful day with Illker (and his wife) touring Ephesus and the surrounding area. His van was large and comfortable. Illker is extremely knowledgeable, almost professorial, about Ephesus and its history. We saw everything we wanted and more, and finished the day with a nice meal in Kusadasi. Great excursion, highly recommend!
