Ephesus Highlights: Legends, Ruins & Remarkable Stories

This was by far one of the best personal tours I’ve ever taken. Hatice was a knowledgeable guide and made us feel like she really wanted to connect with us and give us a sense of her culture and community. We never felt rushed and she was flexible with the schedule and tour. She took us to all the ancient sites the to à rug making demonstration. She sat in the back of the vehicle with us and had a driver, so she was never distracted and gave us all her attention. We highly recommend her tour as well as being a fabulous guide. I look forward to using her again for future adventures

We had a great time on this tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and helped us understand and appreciate the history we walked through. We were able to see everything we asked for in our allotted time without feeling rushed. We would recommend this tour and our guide to anyone visiting Ephesus

Hatice was an excellent guide - one of the best we've had, and the guide who has most connected with my wife.  It was very clear from the start that she was a very open-minded person who had studied the history of Ephesus and all of Turkey out of genuine interest and curiosity.  She was able to fill in many of the stories around the places we saw, bringing to life what life was like for people living in that place and time.  Moreover, Hatice is a citizen of the world - she was able to connect the stories we learned about Ephesus to other events and cultures we know as a way of painting a full picture of the place. As an added bonus, Hatice has also guided tours across Turkey and has a passion for food, so she was able to give recommendations for other places as well. Lastly, Hatice took us to see some of the local "crafts."  I put in quotes because I often think of crafts as a gimmick to sell tourists things. In this case, while there is of course an opportunity to buy, the craftsmanship in the rugs in particular is second to none, and we are very glad we went! Logistics were smooth and thoughtful, pacing was good for us, etc. I would strongly recommend Hatice for anyone who is curious and excited to learn about the history of Ephesus (or whatever she is leading a tour) and the culture of Turkey.

We had a fabulous tour with Hattice. She is very knowledgeable about Turkish history and the natural are as of Turkey. We had an 11 year old with us and she made a special effort to ensure he was engage through out the tour. Ephesus is a special place and Hattice helped us to visualize it in its hey day. She also left us with a warm feeling for the Turkish people. Highly recommend Hattice as a tour guide.

Our group, a party of four, were very pleased with every aspect of this tour. We were especially pleased with our tour guide, Hatice, who was very personable and friendly. In addition to her personality, Hatice proved to be very knowledgeable about history, religion, architecture and mythology which gave us a better appreciation for the sites we were seeing. Also, the vehicle (and driver) she arranged for us was very comfortable. A very positive experience for the four of us! We highly recommend arranging a tour with Hatice!

Silvia was incredible! From the time we were picked up from our hotel until the time we were returned, we were mesmerised! Silvia's ability to communicate complex historical data and make it fun and easy to understand was astounding! Her grasp of ancient Greek history as well as her knowledge of local current events, and the local food scene are beyond compare. Thank you Silvia, we'll remember our special day with you forever.
