The Great Theatre, the terrace houses, and the everyday details of Roman life (the shops, the baths, the public latrines) all made more sense because of their stories. She welcomed questions, and she never made us feel rushed. What we appreciated most was the balance: real historical knowledge plus practical care for the group.
