Highlights of Ephesus Private Tour

Zeynep provided us a great tour of Ephesus. She was very flexible , courteous and very knowledgeable. She took us to a place where they make handmade rugs. We loved it. We also had a very delicious lunch there!!! Don’t hesitate to book A tour with her!!!!

We were extremely pleased with Erkan Z as our tour guide. She has a wonderful personality and was very knowledgeable about Ephesus. We could see by the way she asked us questions that she was very good at assessing her customers and tailoring the tour to what they wanted. We were interested in a more detailed discussion of Ephesus, so this is what we got, but it was clear that she knew how to present a less detailed discussion for persons were more focused on the highlights. Like many tourists, we were also interested in learning more about the people and culture of present day Turkey and she was very willing to share her viewpoints on this as well. We completely recommend her.

Erkan did a great job on our ship excursion to Ephesus. She is super friendly, knowledgeable, and a great ambassador for her country. We got to Ephesus ahead of the the ship tours and had the first 1/3 of the site to our selves, which was really appreciated. We had a clean, comfortable 14 passenger van for the 6 of us. The rug demonstration was interesting, as they explained the different knot counts, types of fibers, and showed us how they unspooled silk cocoons. I'm not a fan of hardsell rug demonstrations, but this was not bad, and the lunch on location was excellent. The House of Mary and ceramics was also interesting.

Erkan's tour was beyond our expectations. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and fun! She tailored the tour to our interests. Ephesus was amazing and she knew just the right spots to see and taught us so much history. Because of my interest in textiles, we made time to stop at a rug weaving school, see a demo of the process, and also enjoy some wonderful Turkish food. Thank you Erkan for a perfect memory of Turkey!
