Do you feel like relaxing and enjoying good tapas? Perhaps you already know that in Spain and especially in Andalusia, tapas are one of our most deeply rooted customs, and are at the heart of our socializing with friends and family. I invite you to join me to enjoy this wonderful and fun experience in the colorful and vibrant city of Malaga, a city defined to a large extent by its tapas scene, that offers its own unique regional take on the tapas experience. I will introduce you to the most authentic places where the locals go, the hidden gems and delightful corners of the old town, and invite you to try our regional specialties. I will explain the history and traditions behind the dishes, and the associated customs of the region, and if you are interested, I will be delighted to explain how to make some of these tapas. This tour can be tailored to your interests, tastes and dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, pork-free, or any other.
- We will start with a visit to the central market, to get to know the seasonal produce, the different varieties of fruits, vegetables, fresh seafood, cheeses, meats and spices that we will later taste on our tapas tour. - From there we will walk a few minutes to the first bar where we will try the first two tapas. Each dish will be complimented by a glass of locally sourced wine or one of the local beers, or soft drink. Tapas are so popular in Spain because we like to visit a variety of places to socialize, since each place has its own character and specialty. - So, we will do as the locals do, and we will go on to a second place to taste another two tapas with their corresponding bebidas (drinks). No tapas tour would be complete without celebrating Spain's renowned cheeses and enbutidos (cured meats), so we will sample a variety of these artisanal delights from the surrounding area. - By then I am convinced you will already be familiar with our custom and be eager to move to a third bar.
