Nice to meet you! My name is Manu and I am architect, licenced guide and master degree in historical construction techniques. I love showing the cities where I work and live with architecture and arts focused tours. I am passionate about Granada, Málaga, Cordoba, the Alhambra palatine city, Seville and the whole Andalusian region. I studied my architecture degree and master in Granada, and during my degree I traveled all around the andalusian region and worked as photography teacher and editor in an arts and architecture international magazine. When I finished I lived for half a year in Yokohama in Japan, where I could study the traditional construction techniques of the country and the culture. Lately, I worked as architect for the university of Castilla La Mancha, doing some restoration projects and new buildings in cities with a wonderful heritage, such as Toledo. During this period I did an extra master course in traditional construction techniques in the Architecture School of Madrid, specializing in Islamic construction techniques and in buildings I knew, such as the Alhambra. Since 2013 I started publishing and speaking in national and international conferences, so in 2018 I applied for obtaining my official guiding license, and finally decided to start working on my own architecture studio So nowadays I work as guide and architect, running my own projects which include restoration, refurbishments and new constructions, collaborating with national and international studios while I also enjoy doing routes and meeting people from all around the world. My tours, in English and Spanish, mainly focus on the configuration of the cities, neighborhoods and buildings through analyzing their history and architecture. I do deep-cultural walking tours in Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba, Guadix and Málaga with visual resources, for people that wants to get deeper in knowledge with an academical basis. I also focus my tours in particular buildings or construction techniques, but if you are interested in a particular period, character, architect, feel free to ask! I always like to enrich my tours with literature, music, and gastronomy recommendations, considering travelling as an holistic experience, for deeply enjoying the wonderful cities in Andalucia. So if you come to the south of Spain and you want to build a unique journey, contact me! CREDENTIALS - Msc. Overview of your Malaga tour

Malaga is really well known nowadays for being one of the biggest and most lively cities of the southern coast in Spain, but the most important thing about this place is that Malaga also supposes a paradigmatic example of how a historic city can maintain and promote its architectural and artistic past, while adapting to the needs and challenges of 21st century urban planning and development. And we are going to discover it with this walking tour. With this route we will see the main highlights of Malaga city center, a complex historical place occupied since phoenician times where the XXI century urbanism meets historical buildings such as the Alcazaba, the roman theater or the custom house among many others. We will discover its alleys and squares finishing right by the seaside in the port of the city.

Manuel was a knowledgeable and friendly guide with excellent knowledge about Malaga. He was super nice and patient with our group of five, making numerous stops for drinks, the W/C and even the Hard Rock cafe. We learned about the strategic fortress, the downtown history, especially the architecture, and the current challenges, Malaga faces of gentrification and excessive tourism. Manuel is , young energetic and very knowledgeable . I would highly recommend him for this city and the surrounding region.

Manuel gave us one of the very best tours we have ever had! He is knowledgeable, and easily adapted the tour to suit our interests and some mobility issues. His knowledge of Spanish history and architecture is unbelievable! He made the history come alive for us. In addition, he is a charming and considerate gentleman who speaks excellent English. Thanks very much Manuel!

If you want a great 1/2 day tour of historic Malaga, book with Manu! We went from top to bottom and got a great appreciation of the history and architecture. Manu was great at tailoring the tour to our interests and pace - he did such a great job that our 17 year old son was attentive the whole time! I really can't say enough good things about Manu. I hope you book a tour to find out for yourself! You won't regret it.

Manu clearly is among the best of the scores of tour guides we have met over the years. He is extremely knowledgeable and very engaging. We were not expecting Malaga would have as much to interest us as many of the other famed spots in Andalucia, but his tour made us very glad we had included Malaga on our list of destinations. He was also able to provide invaluable insight and perspective into many issues in the country's more modern history. We highly recommend his tours to anyone visiting Spain.

Manu was an absolutely terrific guide. He was enthusiastic, thoughtful, kind and knowledgable. We encountered some difficulties at the sites toured (nothing to do with him) and he was quick to adapt and to make the best of the situation. He was great at answering questions and added immensely to what we would have been able to appreciate on our own. Though expensive, the tour with him was worth every penny and then some.

Manu's passion for Malaga and its history is evident from the moment we were greeted by his warm smile. We learned so much about the architectural history of the city. Manu showed us so many things we would never have noticed. He also shared with us historical postcards so we could get a perspective of how the city looked before modernization. This was so amazing. Manu was extremely sensitive to the needs of my elderly mother and helped her with the steps when needed. Highly recommend him.
