The capital city of Malaga, the Costa Del Sol and its inland villages have changed considerably since I arrived. Fishermans villages and agricultural lands have progressed into a tourism destination with better infrastructures and much better service. Nonetheless, we still have the essence and the innocence of the old times. It is wonderful to look back acknowledging the past to shape the present of Malaga region. Malaga is a beautiful city of great history and culture; cosmopolitan and active. It is seaworthy and tradition. We will start discovering Malaga with our five senses at the local indoor market. A place where I usually buy the best fresh fish and socialize with the owners of the stands. I would love to present them to you. Let's walk from Malaga's modern boulevard "Calle Larios" strolling through the old narrow winding streets that lead us to the majestic Renaissance Style Cathedral which we call "The One Armed Lady". A short distance away , the XI century Moorish palatial fortification and the I B. C. Roman Theatre. We will walk inside it while others only see it from the distance. As the city of Picasso's birthplace, let me take you to his house and to the square that saw him grow while playing happily. During our walk through the city enjoy a friendly moment with me tasting some tapas and the local wines. There are traditions that only a local can share with you.

We very much enjoyed our half day walking tour with Mahy. She met us at Malaga cruise terminal 5 minutes early, ans gave us an easy paced walking tour of the main highlights of the old town. Her commentary was expertly informed and our tapas break at the end was delightful. We could not have asked for more. We highly recommend Mahy to everyone visiting Malaga and region.

This is a walking tour. There are several ways of meeting with me. I can meet you in the city centre. You can walk from the cruise ship port to the city centre which will be about 30min walk. I can meet you at the Cruise Terminal where we can take a free shuttle bus (if available) to the city centre or a taxi that would cost you about 12 euros up to 4 people.
