Dear travelers, I am a Licensed tour guide for all the region of Andalucia, and I'm currently working as a self-employed tour guide in Granada. I hold a degree in Art History and I'm specialized in Architecture and Cultural Heritage; I'm also trained in Building Techniques, as an expert in Restoration, and therefore my professional background includes fields as Restoration & Archaeology. But I also do love traveling as well, and I've worked in many different areas in the Tourism Industry, which makes me aware of the importance of a flawless and straightforward customer service. I enjoy solo traveling and I've travelled through Europe with an Interrail Pass twice; I've lived in many different places, including a ten-month stay in the USA during my sophomore year in high school; around two years in Italy learning about restoration, and other two years in the UK working as an archaeologist. I always try to get the most out of what life has to offer. The tours I provide in Granada include the Alhambra & Generalife complex or Walking Tours in different parts of the city as Albayzín & Sacromonte, Cathedral, etc. But let me know which are your particular interests and I will design a bespoke tour especially for you! I'm also a real foodie, as my parents had a lovely family restaurant when I was a teenager and we've always been really interested both in traditional gastronomy and in Nouvelle cuisine, and we love to try all the new restaurants in town! Therefore, I also do Tapas Tours, and I have designed a Vegan/vegetarian Tapas Tour, specially conceived for people with food restrictions who want to enjoy a truly Tapas experience in Granada (something sometimes difficult if you don't know where to go!!). All my Tapas Tours are also adapted for people with mobility issues. . . same as the Alhambra tour (not so easy for the City Tour though, but we can always try to give you the best solution, of course!). And obviously, apart from guiding you around Granada, I can also give you some good advices about the best places to eat and where you can find that perfect & unique souvenir. . . So, if you're coming to Granada, and want to get the most out of it, do not hesitate to contact me!! Marina :) 2008 Master's Degree in Architecture and Cultural Heritage - University of Sevilla. 2005 Bachelor's Degree in Art History - University of Granada. 2004 Building techniques for heritage conservation - Centro Albayzín, Granada. Granada never disappoints. It's deffinitely one of the most beautiful cities in Spain and, until not so long, a real hidden gem. With this tour you can get the most out of the hours your ship will be at Malaga Port and come to discover all this city has to offer in the most convenient way. A professional driver will be waiting for you at Malaga harbour to drive you to Granada on a modern air-conditioned vehicle. It's a 1. 5 hour drive through a stunning landscape and, when the driver speaks English, he/she will be able to tell you some curiosities about it. Once you arrive in Granada, I will be here waiting for you to guide you around amazing places as the famous Alhambra, the UNESCO listed Arabic Albayzín, the gypsy and troglodyte neighbourhood of Sacromonte or the Christian city centre, where we could visit monuments as the Cathedral or the Royal Chapel. After enjoying some of the local gastronomy, we would meet the driver again so he can bring you back to your ship right in time for sailing.
This tour would be customized depending on the time you have and if you have purchased your entrances to the Alhambra, depending on the entrance time to the Nasrid Palaces*, but the ideal tour would be as follows: -We would meet at the main entrance of the Alhambra & Generalife complex -Visit the main highlights of the Alhambra complex during 3 hours -Walk downtown and visit the low Albayzin following the Darro river -Potter around some of its narrow alleys or seek for that unique souvenir that you have in mind -Could have a break for lunch or we can keep exploring the city if you prefer -Driver will bring you back to your boat *The entrance time must be chosen at the moment of purchasing the tickets and must be respected, so please bear in mind the time your boat moors at Malaga, and the extra 1. 5 hours you need to get to Granada from Malaga **If you're unable to get tickets for the Alhambra or prefer to skip it, we would have time to visit the Sacromonte and the inside of the Cathedral or Royal Chapel
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
You will be driven by a professional driver in a luxury car from Málaga to Granada. Once you meet me in Granada, we will do a walking tour. *The typical islamic medieval urbanism of this city makes it impossible to get the most out it by car. The old part of Granada is on top of several hills, with many slopes and stairs, so I recommend to wear good walking shoes and confortable clothes.
Paseo del Muelle Uno, Málaga, Andalucía, 29016, Spain
-At the port of Málaga (please let me know the name of your cruise ship when booking; your private driver will be waiting for you as close as possible to the dock where your boat moors) -Or at any other location (maybe a hotel) in the area...
