Hola! This is Jaime. I was born in Madrid and I studied Art History Degree at the university. Also I'm ICOM member. I have been showing my city to visitors since 2007. The city has no secrets for me since I was born and lived in Madrid, I also studied Art History at the University, so I can show you the wonders of hundreds of years of history that are preserved in Madrid. Its wide tourist offer make it one of the most visited cities in Europe. Also due to the extraordinary beauty of its streets and squares, it is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. Madrid has many monuments and "must see places" that in three hours walking we will visit for you to know the highlights. The capital of Spain is a city with a lot of history and great monuments, but it is also a place of contrasts and with a vibrant and incessant activity, that I will make sure you experience with the eyes of a local! And that is not it! We'll make our way to unbeaten spots: secret places, hidden gardens, old orchards of convents, majestic churches, towers of Medieval palaces and streets full of legends, unknown to the locals themselves! I'll not tell you more so that it remains a surprise

Jaime was terrific. He took us around Madrid on a very hot summer day. He was very knowledgeable and kept my children's attention well (ages 14, 11, and 9). He was so good that we booked a second tour with him the following day. Thanks Jaime for making our time in Madrid so great!
Jaime was very informative and enthusiastic. He appears to be knowledgeable about the history of Spain. The pace of this tour was perfect, and at the end Jaime recommended a good place to have an inexpensive lunch. Jaime list his English as "advanced", and while I would agree he is not "fluent", we had no problems understanding him. In fact, searching for the exact word in English actually made the information more memorable!
This is a very special tour in which you can see the highlights of the city. -We'll begin the tour in the Royal Palace of Madrid (outside), this is the largest royal palace in Europe, bigger than Versailles! Inside more than 3, 000 different rooms. -We'll continue in the Plaza de Oriente, the Royal Theatre (Opera House) and the monument of King Felipe IV on horseback, an incredible masterpiece of Baroque art. We'll approach the huge Cathedral of Almudena, a place with many legends. -We'll visit the church of Saint Nicholas, one of the oldest in the city and we will pass by the beautiful Mercado de San Miguel, a delicate building with more than 100 years of history made with iron and glass. Near the Market we can find the Church of San Miguel. -We also stop at the Plaza Mayor, the heart of the Old Town, and continue to the Plaza de Cibeles and the imposing and beautiful building of the City Hall.
