Hola! This is Jaime. I was born in Madrid and I studied Art History Degree at the university. Also I'm ICOM member. I have been showing my city to visitors since 2007. Overview of your Madrid tour
Madrid is a city with infinite possibilities, it takes a lifetime to enjoy it, understand it and live it, but I will summarize it in 1 day and I will not leave anything apart! In addition to being and authentic local, I also have and History Degree that allows me to have even deeper knowledge of my home. The origins of Madrid date back to the Middle Ages, we will visit its narrow medieval streets full of legends, to continue visiting some of the most impressive monuments, basilicas and the busiest squares. But not only that, we'll also see some of the oldest shops, restaurants and markets in the city. Of course I keep many less known places and surprises for the tour day, that will make you fall in love with Madrid. For lunch we will stop to eat in some typical places to enjoy famous tapas! After lunch we'll continue with the tour walking near the Prado Museum: one of the most elegant areas of Madrid. Come and join me for a great experience

With this tour you will have the sensation of making the most of the time. -First thing I will do is present myself and the tour, to start enjoying it. I'm an expert in art and architecture, so you can ask me all you need. -I will show you some of the highlights of the city, we will begin with the impressive Royal Palace and the enormous Almudena Cathedral. -We will walk through narrow streets to the absolutely beautiful Church of San Miguel and we will pass through the Plaza Mayor, which is the heart of the Old Town. And the colorful Mercado de San Miguel. -We will stop in front of some of the oldest convents in the city, they are full of surprises and legends. -Go through the bustling Puerta del Sol Square and I will explain the elegant Puerta de Alcalá. . . and many other places and corners less known, I keep some surprises. If you travel with children do not worry, this tour is also for them, I have experience in how to keep their attention. The itinerary can be adapted to traveler's interests.
