Hi! This is Elena, your private tour guide in Cordoba, Andalusia. Born and raised in Córdoba, I love strolling out of the pattern places to explore my own city with travelers' eyes, and then sharing the local vision with visitors. Photography, architecture, writing and traveling are also among my passions. I've been guiding for the last 9 years. I used to watch these series by Lonely Planet where Ian Right traveled around the world, well he was my inspiration! So I had Tourism business degree, as well as Translation degree and cultural mediation master certificate to become a real professional. Today, guiding inside one of the oldest functioning temples in Europe is just a dream come true. Where I deliver tours, Cordoba, is the only city in the world with four World Heritage Sites by Unesco. Imagine yourself visiting the forest of columns of the Ummayad mosque and finding a Renaissance Cathedral right in the middle; getting lost through the hundreds of narrow white streets and discover small squares with refreshing fountains; entering a private patio full of colorful flowers, plants, water and mosaics; visiting the biggest ruins in Spain and the only Caliph construction remained in the world! Also, enjoying Flamenco and Spanish horses or having a bath in a hamman full of charm. Then, see the sunset behind the old Roman Bridge. Being a travel lover myself, I can understand very quickly what you need. I'll be more than happy to listen to you and help you to create an unforgettable experience. Let's get the most out of it! -Tour guide license by the regional government of Andalusia, Spain since 2015 -Interpreter/guide of the Mosque Cathedral of Córdoba since 2017 -Muslim friendly tourism training -Cultural mediator by the Valencia University and Université Catholique de Lille, France I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Did you know Córdoba became the New York city of the Middle Age? With half a million, this city dominated the West for hundred of years. The best witness of the glorious days is the Mosque-Cathedral, where a Rennaissance Cathedral was built right in the middle of the biggest 700-800 a. C. mosque. This unique building embrasses the Islamic art together with the Gothic, the Renaissance or the Baroque among others. But not only this World Heritage Unesco building tells us about the past. Let me show you how locals feel and live our History in the present. My expertise in Al-Andalus History will guide you into the most amazing spots telling the stories that bring History alive. In my home city, everyone is welcome so I will do my best to make you feel at home!
We will start our tour by visiting the magnificent Mosque-Cathedral for around an hour and a half. Then I'll show you the second World Heritage site in the city: the old town, including the Jewish area and one of the most appreciated treasures of Córdoba: the 14th-century Synagogue We will also visit a beautifully decorated traditional house, now the Andalusian House Museum, where the Middle East and Córdoba meet, just like in Al Andalus times. Time to stop for a coffee or a tea in a charming courtyard. Then, I will help you to understand why Córdoba is a city of knowledge. We will go in search of the great doctors and philosophers born in the Muslim city of Córdoba. Navigating the narrow white streets, you will be able to see how the silver craftsmen keep using the same old techniques to produce the very singular filigree pieces of jewelry. In springtime, it is possible to enjoy the explosion of colors and aromas of the Patios Festival, our third World Heritage. I'll be glad to customize a tour for you.
