Hola! My name is Laura, I'm from Córdoba and I'm looking forward to showing you this part of the world where you will discover the magic and the magnificence of History and Humanity. Since I graduated with a Tourism degree from Córdoba University in 2006, I carried on training (traveling) and learning about different cultures around the world, cultural heritage and Art, and I have realized how much I love spending my time with people from everywhere. But It wasn't until graduating in History of Art, in 2011, when I discovered how much I love explaining people the importance and the beauty of Córdoba. During my works of investigations to get a Master about Cultural-Historical Heritage in Andalucía, I was travelling around this area improving my knowledge and skills in History and working as a History teacher in Seville for 5 years. Now, as a licensed local Guide since 2017, I have changed my students for travelers an I'm spending the best years of my life making people understand the importance of this city, not only for Spain, but for the History of Humanity. Córdoba was the home of Seneca and Maimonides, the home of flowers and a cultural melting pot where the three biggest religions lived together with a certain harmony. Are you ready to discover it? Madinat (city in Arabic) al-Zahra was the greatest evidence of the magnificent and importance of Córdoba in the Middle Age, when this city was the capital of this area of the world. Today an archeological site, worldwide heritage site by Unesco, but in each and every one of its corners, you can feel the greatness of the Caliph abd al-Rahmán III and his Royal Court. He ordered to build this amazing place just to show everybody the power and the importance of this Caliphate. So I can help you to imagine all those kings, leaders and ambassadors from the rest of the world caming for political advices, economic favours, some military alliances or just to spend a good time inside the luxury of this place.
