Dear traveler! I love to connect with people and I am totally in love with our little sLOVEnia! ;) I live in Ljubljana, a small, lovely capital, where I finished my studies. I love foreign languages, history and nature and traveling has always been my greatest passion. My 28-year-long career as a local guide and trip leader has brought me into contact with travellers from all over the world, in several foreign languages. Slovenian Alps are breathtaking. Every 15 min man can get a 'wow' effect ;) I can see them from my window in Ljubljana and love to visit them. Bled is a trademark of Slovenian tourism and one of the most picturesque sites of the country. Its views are amazing - a small clear-blue lake, an island with a small church in the middle, a medieval castle on a cliff at the lake and the Julian Alps behind it. A 'must' in Bled is to taste a local cake, a famous 'kremšnita'. Not far from Bled there's an alpine valley of Bohinj, which boasts with the biggest Slovenian permanent lake. It is located in the heart of high Julian Alps, the kingdom of the famous mountain goat Zlatorog. The place is full of legends, full of great hiking opportunities and amazing views. Mount Vogel is a ski-resort about the lake and from there (weather permitting) man can get to a million-dollar viewpoint of Julian Alps and the Bohinj valley below. I need to remind myself of not to forget to breathe of all the beauty ;)
We spent three absolutely wonderful days with Barbara exploring some of the many highlights of Slovenia. Bled lake, the castle, and valley were magnificent!! Barbara is a fantastic guide, is extremely knowledgeable, and goes out of her way to provide unforgettable experiences showing out of the way treasures. We will enthusiastically refer her to friends and family traveling to see beautiful Slovenia!!

We had a great time with Barbara. She was prompt to pick us up. We had a wonderful day going to Lake Bled and all the countryside in the area. She feels like close family you can share the day with. She took us to a great place to get dessert at the lake and then a quaint restaurant in one of the village for lunch. She gave us a full day of touring and was just fun to be with. We heartily recommend her as a tour guide.

We need approx. 40min to get to beautiful lake of Bled. - First I'll take you around the lake and make several stops to have the best possible views of the surroundings. - We will visit the castle on the cliff with million-dollar views, including a little and very interesting museum, a Guttenberg-style printing house and some other nice sites. - We can take a 'pletna' boat ride to the small island on the lake and ring the bell of wishes. And we shouldn't leave Bled without tasting the famous 'kremšnita' cake ;) - After Bled we will take a panoramic road to Bohinj, the next valley, in the heart of Triglav National Park. - We will talk about legends, have a light hike and weather permitting take a cable-car up to the mountain Vogel, the famous ski-resort in the midst of famous Julian Alps. The view from up there is breathtaking (weather permitting). We'll have a typical alpine meal at the ski slopes. Know that this tour can be customized.
