We had a fabulous 2 day tour with Gorazd. We were delighted with the itinerary he put together for us. We saw all the main sites including the magical Lake Bled and Bled Castle (very atmospheric in the mist), viewpoints, waterfalls and gorges. Gorazd was a great guide and shared his extensive knowledge of both the mountains and history of Slovenia. We were very happy that we followed his advice and booked a hotel at Lake Bohinj for the night as this gave us more time to explore Bohinj and the early start meant we were able to fit in an extra hike on the second day. We particularly enjoyed the hike in the Alps with a delicious lunch at an alpine inn overlooking the most incredible scenery. Gorazd went above and beyond to ensure we made the most of our short time in Slovenia. It was a wonderful way to finish our holiday. Thank you Gorazd for sharing your wonderful country with us.

Your Ljubljana tour itinerary
- From Ljubljana we will reach Bled lake in about 3/4 hour, then Bohinj is 20 minutes away. = Besides the usual musts - transfer with a traditional wooden boat to the fabulous island & castle on top of the rock with probably the most wanted view of the country we may take a 1-hour walk into the once hidden gorge (Bled vintgar) featuring pristine alpine river. For the lunch, we shall try local cuisine in a typical "gostilna" on our way to Bohinj lake. It will be to decide there which waterfall to visit (1-hour walk) or to just take a cable car onto the ski resort with a view over the lake. Instead of returning to Ljubljana, you may overnight in one of the hotels/apartments there. This would make a more comfortable start to the next day when we shall drive over the mountain pass into the river Soca valley. Following the emerald river, we have several views stops to do and some walking, but also rafting/kayaking may be arranged. Great history of the area - from Celts to the Great war you can ask me anything.
