I'd like to introduce you some of the most beautiful spots in my country together with a brief political and cultural history of Slovenia. I'm passionate about discovering new and exciting places and introducing them to people in a way, that is always fresh and different, willing to make an extra effort to make a person satisfied. Throughout many years of experience and study I've got a great knowledge about Slovenia & Adria region, its tradition, cultural legacy and its current position in Europe. I'm not not a stranger to an outdoors living as I experienced it a lot as a runner, scout, mountaineer, diver, sailor and fan of water sports. I can also be a good company over a glass of wine, that I know a great deal about. People say going places with me is a great joy and an memorable experience. Fairy-tale setting with a private guide

Bled lake with the castle on a rock above it, is like a fairy tale!. . . Actually, The Grimm brothers sourced from this country - fun fact. On a short passage over the lake in a "pletna" boat I might tell you the story of the princess and the sunken bell. Don't want to scare you too much on a bad weather day! we'll better talk about something else then, like . . . fishing. Or how you can reach the island on foot in winter, over the ice of course. After visiting the castle and the island you shouldn't miss the Bled cream cake of course. Some 12 million were finished by now in a country of 2 million population and I contributed quite a lot. If you have more time, visit also the Bled gorge ("Blejski Vintgar") just 10 min away or Bohinj lake 30 min from Bled. Several more ideas are on stock, just ask me at any time. For instance: a short hike to a viewpoint for a breathtaking photo of the island from above.

George is a terrific guide and there are few places prettier than Lake Bled. We started with a tour of the castle, then went for the boat ride to the island and finished up with lunch at the hotel that created the famous Bled cream cakes. Throughout the entire day, George entertained with stories and history of the region. We heartily recommend this tour.

The four of us had a marvelous day with "George". He was engaging, informative, flexible and FUN. Took us to exactly the type of places that we wanted to shop and eat. By the end of the day we felt like we were friends. We were hesitant about fitting five of us into a Prius, but it was no problem. Our booking was very last minute as the tour we had booked with another company had been cancelled because of Slovenia regulations. That was our luck - we got a gem with George.
Your Ljubljana tour itinerary
Starting from your hotel will reach Bled in about 45 min. Driving around the lake with a stop for a photo. Visiting the castle with a museum and a view point. Time for the Bled cake or a coffee at the lake. Transfer to the island with a boat or optional a walk into a gorge ( 1. 5 hour retour). We can be back to your hotel in 5 hours, but a prolonged tour to the next lake is recommended or a hike into Bled Vintgar gorge in the vicinity.
