Dear guests, I'm so glad you're considering a visit to Slovenia—and even happier that you're looking for a local guide! You've come to the right place. Since 2010, I've had the pleasure of introducing visitors from all over the world to the beauty, charm, and history of Slovenia, especially my hometown, Ljubljana. I would be honored to welcome you as my next guest. Born and raised in Ljubljana, I studied journalism at the University of Ljubljana and worked for many years as a travel journalist and researcher at Slovenia's national TV broadcaster. Although I once searched for a new home abroad, I ultimately realized that the best place to be... was right here. Slovenia is still considered one of Europe’s hidden gems—but that’s changing fast. Its natural beauty, rich culture, and high quality of life are capturing more and more attention. Curious to know why? I’d love to show you in person. I specialize in classic sightseeing tours—the perfect way to experience Slovenia's highlights and understand its story. I also offer food and wine tours for those interested in our local traditions and sustainable ways of living, though my most popular tours remain the must-see places like Lake Bled, Postojna Cave, and, of course, the charming streets of old Ljubljana. Certified Slovenian national tour guide Licensed beekeeping tour guide Bachelor’s degree in journalism Former travel journalist & researcher Passionate traveler and people-person I look forward to showing you why Slovenia is such a special place—let’s make your trip unforgettable!

Join me on a truly special experience: cooking an authentic Slovenian dinner with my mom, an excellent home cook with her own garden. She lives just 20 minutes outside Ljubljana, in the countryside, so you’ll also get a glimpse of how people in Slovenia live beyond the city. After arrival we will start with homemade bread which she serves with a selection of traditional Slovenian finger foods. Of course, good wine goes perfectly with the snacks—but an even more fitting start is a welcome toast with shnaps. After the refreshments, it’s time to get to work. Together we will prepare a seasonal main dish, which changes depending on the time of year and the fresh ingredients available. One of the most enjoyable parts of the evening is making dough for a truly iconic Slovenian dish called struklji. You’ll learn why struklji are so important in our culinary heritage—and how surprisingly fun they are to make.
