I am Tarun. I have been a driver/guide since 2008. I love traveling on my own and I understand well what traveller is seeking when traveling to a different city/country, specially when it comes to history/Nature and Architecture. I have been a guide in India since 2008 and became a guide/driver in Slovenia after meeting my wife in 2016. I never thought of leaving India as I love my work of showing people around India but Slovenian wife and Slovenia changed my mind. My interest has always been in places which are not so touristy and unexplored. Slovenia is a small country but time that I spend exploring this beautiful country gave me so much new knowledge about the country as well as it's beautiful people, nature, history, culture and traditions. I love meeting new people and talking about everything, my clients are only clients online once we are traveling together we become very good friends and I help you try lots of beautiful local food Slovenia has to offer. I am also into yoga practices so I also tell my friends about some basic practices that can help pain or calm mind ;) So you basically get a full package when booking a tour with me :) Looking forward to show you best of Slovenia. I have been rewarded by tripadvisor, couchsurfing multiple times for India and Slovenia. I am a professional yoga teacher as well I met my Slovenian wife on this course. When you are in Slovenia, you should not miss visiting Piran, a pleasant town that lives with its slow Mediterranean rhythm and where time flows with its own special slow rhythm, somehow slower than elsewhere. We will walk through the beautiful city square with Tartini's statue as well as the church at the top of the city with a beautiful view of Italy on the right and Croatia on the left. From the city walls, you will enjoy a beautiful view of Kopar, a city with one of the oldest ports, and you will have the impression that the clear blue Adriatic Sea is calling you to jump in and swim in its blueness and purity. And if the weather permits and you don't mind a walk, I will be happy to take you swimming in the Bay of the Moon, it's a most peaceful part which will amaze you with its beautiful color and appearance. Although Slovenia has only about 46 km of coastline, Piran is truly a true jewel of the Mediterranean, a very beautiful town that is worth visiting. Join me and discover beautiful Piran!
Tarun was an excellent guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and is a native level English speaker. He had a very comfortable vehicle. Piran is a great place to visit on a day trip from Ljubljana. Tarun took us to some great viewpoints on the coast and led us around the old town on a great exploration visiting the old city wall, church, and the old town.
This was a custom tour combining Piran and Postojna Cave (as well as a quick stop at Predjama Castle). Postojna Cave is incredibly beautiful with many amazing formations inside, and visiting it is certainly a unique experience. Piran is a quaint coastal town with great Italian vibes. Both sites are worth visiting, and this tour was a quick and efficient way to see everything in a short time. Tarun is an incredibly professional, friendly, and passionate guide whose positive attitude is infectious. I would highly recommend him no matter what type of tour you are interested in.
