Overview of your Porto tour
We will do a road trip from Porto to Douro Valley, the Port Wine Region, with a beautiful view over the vineyards, the river and mountain landscape, a Unique Experience, with lunch in the city of Peso da Regua, in a typical local restaurant and a visit to a family Port wine celler. I spend a lot of time in my youth on the summer in the region, so I'm very passionate showing and talk about it. This tour is flexible and will adapt to your preferences.

On the Douro Valley Road trip Ricardo takes you to the region most familiar to him. This is the area of his family home. He clearly loves talking about Portugal, and all things Portuguese. Ricardo is open to all questions, and plans a day that lets you see the countryside, enjoy Portuguese food, and learn about the making of port. We were a group of 8 and were able to ride together in a 9 passenger van.

Ricardo was a very polite and considerate tour guide. He gave us insights into the way of life of the Portuguese people, and enough facts about the Portuguese economy, which our group of 8 adults found enlightening. The only slight complaint we had, was the condition of the van which he drove us around in. To be fair to him, he managed to find a van at very short notice, as we had booked the tour only two days earlier. His command of English was commendable.
Your Porto tour itinerary
Leaving from Porto the Tour will proceed, in a highway about 1 hour, to the city of Peso da Regua, the center city of UNESCO Herage Region of Douro. A quick stop in a lovely city on top of a river. Then it will take a country road road number two, considered one of the most beautiful roads in the world, along the river Douro to the most precious Village of the region Pinhao. After a visit to the area, and a possible boat ride in Douro River, lunch with more than one option. Before the return to the city of Porto, a visit to a Local Port wine celler with tasting included.
