Hello, my name is Miguel and I was born in 1968 in Angola (portuguese ex-colony in Africa). However I have lived in Porto since I was two years old and for that reason I know this city like I know myself! I have always loved to travel and so I used to visit many different places inside my home country. This fact allows me not only to create the best tours possible with what I believe are the most interesting stops, but also to know plenty of local miths and hidden places. In 2018, after 21 years of banking career, I was finally able to start a project that is to me a lifetime acomplishement. A dream that always accompanied me come true. I am moved by the passion for Portugal and its astonishing destinations, unique places and monuments, history and culture. Therefore it is a pleasure to me to provide you the opportunity to meet them and get to know what real heaven looks like. These opening years were, as I expected, unbelievable! Being able to show and talk about the wonders of Portugal, such as its history, gastronomy, wines, climate, landscapes, wonderful places and above all its people is a passion that gives me energy necessary to wake up cheerful every single morning to work. Moreover having the chance to meet fantastic people from all over the world, introducing me to new habits and mindsets everyday, has been a truly enriching experience that I value the most. With this tour, I present you a surprising day trip to visit unbelievable places in south of Porto. In the morning, we'll discover Aveiro, the Portuguese Venice with his channels and gondolas and a short trip to Costa Nova Beach, a small and old Fishermans village, and its singular, stripy and colourful houses. At lunch, you could try one of the most famous dishes in Portugal, the "Leitão Assado" (the roasted piglet). Simply amazing! After lunch, get ready to visit one of the oldest universities in the world, the Coimbra's University, founded in 1290, the oldest in Portugal and one of the oldest in the world. His astonishing Library, full of gold and secular books it's something worth seeing!

I looked over lots of tours in the Porto area and chose this one and we weren't disappointed. I would do any of the tours Miguel offers if we go back to Porto. I liked everything we saw and all the information we got. The meal we had with Miguel was one of the best ever and totally charming--locals out for Sunday lunch. Very safe and relaxed day.
We took 3 wonderful tours with Miguel, this was one of them and each tour was fantastic! We saw many sights and areas in between these towns and were very happy with Miguel’s extensive knowledge, familiarity and understanding of Porto (and Portugal’s) history and customs. He took us to places that were charming, authentic and important. We loved Miguel- a great tour guide - always helpful, flexible, pleasant and fun to be with!

Wonderful day! Miguel was a fabulous guide and his Mercedes van is comfortable with WiFi and water. We loved the lunch spot - it was one of the best that Miguel scheduled along with great dinner suggestions. He was very knowledgeable and planned the day perfect!
- First stop will be in one of Aveiro's beaches, Costa Nova. A small and old Fishermans village that becomes, nowadays, a vacation beach village but still keeping the old fisherman's traditions and its market full of fresh fish. This place is famous by its stripped and colourful houses. - After Costa Nova, we'll visit Aveiro. Also known as the Portuguese Venice, this colourful city has channels, gondolas, salines, "Art Nouveau" buildings and a unique egg sweet delicacy. A treat to the eyes and palate. You can do a quiet boat cruise through the city channels in a "Moliceiro" boat. -Time to lunch and taste the special "Leitão Assado" or if you wish the most famous "Bacalhau" (Codfish)! You have plenty of options to choose from how you want to eat the codfish because we have 100 different ways to cook it. (Optional). - Early afternoon, the city of Coimbra welcomes you, to visit inside the oldest University in Portugal (and one of the oldest in the world), and for a nice stroll in Coimbra's downtown.
