Because of the combination of the terroirs, the diversified climate, the vineyards along the riverbanks, the knowledge of ancient farmers and family estates, young and innovating producers… After morning pick-up from your accommodation in Porto, Braga, or Guimarães, head off on a journey into Portugal's wine country. Discover landscapes of the "Green Region" on the way to the historical city of Amarante with its 13th-century bridge and the 16th-century church. Enjoy trying the northern regional cuisine. After seeing churches, memorials, castles, and ruins, you'll head to the first Vinho Verde producer of the the day, learning of the unique methods used to create Portugal's famous green wine.

Pick Up and Drop Off at your Hotel if in Porto Área, then we start our journey and visit: Amarante Where besides enjoying the beauty of this city and the Tamega's River, one of the most important affluents of the Douro's River, you will visit the Church of Saint Gonçalo and its historic centre. You can also taste the delicious typical cakes. We will visit a local producer of Vinho Verde, with a fantastic landscape, and take a short walk through the vineyards. You will learn about the entire Vinho Verde production process and taste some of its best wines combined with regional products. Stop for Lunch (not included) To cap things off, you'll continue down the picturesque country roads to another vineyard. Taste more Vinho Verde, gathering skills to differentiate the particular grape varietals used to make each stunningly crisp wine. After discovering some of Portugal's undisputed cultural gems, you'll head back to your accommodation.
