Hello, My Name is Rui Pedro and I'm a private guide, based at this beautiful city of Porto. I have been a private tour guide for 8 years now. Always been a passionate about history and despite having worked as a Business Manager for more than 15 years, the performance of this function allowed me to travel to several countries in Europe and South America, even living some time in Brazil and London. This contact with diverse cultures and different people, coupled with my passion for history and my ability to communicate, gave me a knowledge base that allows me to play naturaly my role as a tour guide. Apart my passion, I love my country and my city of Porto, so beautiful and rich in historic facts, well knowned for its wine, its gastronomy, and its frendly people, considered World heritage by UNESCO. I also have the ability and the means to easely adjust or create a customized tour due to your interests, half-day, full-day or even multi-day, all over Portugal or Spain. While traveling between Porto and Lisbon enjoy the opportunity to know other cities of Portugal in the same tour, that allows you to chose the places you wish to visit among my suggestions or other of your preferences Nazaré - small fishing village known for its beaches and the giant waves that McNamara has made famous all over the world Óbidos -Its imposing castle whose city was conquered to the Moors in 1148 by the 1st. King of Portugal Alcobaça - Gothic monastery dated of 1178 and World Heritage by UNESCO Fatima Sanctuary - place of the apparitions of Virgin Mary to three little shepherds on 13 May 1917 and where around 70. 000 pilgrims witnessed an event called 'Miracle of the Sun'. Batalha Monastery dated of 1. 386, ordered to be built by a Portuguese King as a thank you to the Virgin Mary for the victory in the Battle of Aljobarrota against the Castilians and where several Portuguese kings are buried. Coimbra - one of the oldest universities in the world and its famous baroque Library.
Pedro was wonderful! We traveled from Porto to Lisbon on January 1st and even though a lot of places were closed along our route Pedro made sure we made the most or our time and we still got to enjoy sites along the way. Pedro is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and we had a wonderful day with him. Highly recommend as a way to make a transfer and still see sites along the way. Thank you Pedro.
Rui was a knowledgable and personable tour guide. He was very accommodating to our request and where we wanted to go. He knew a lot about the history of the towns we visited. The private tour was definitely worth it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour from Porto to Lisbon by Rue Pedro Pereira Reis. We made stops at three places along the way. A stop in "The Venice of Portugal" for a coffee and traditional pastry, Narzaré to see the magnificent beach and enjoy an amazing fresh fish lunch, and the castle in Obidos. We were nearing the end of our vacation and were very tired. Rue fashioned the stops, walks and exploring to our particular needs. Pick up and drop off were smooth and on time. We Highly recommend Rue Pedro.
Rui Pedro is enormously hard working and knowledgeable. He has a history degree and owns a 9 seater van. We really enjoyed our trip from Porto to Lisbon calling in at three key sites. His local knowledge proved invaluable.

- I will use a modern, medium/high end class private vehicle: a spacious Large station wagon / SUV with A/C, suitable to the service requirements and for a comfortable ride. - If you wish to use a 9 seats Van for up to 4 people, it will have an additional cost of 275,00 EUR due to the use of a larger car with bigger capacity. - I also can accommodate groups ranging in size from 5 to 7 and from 8 to 12.
