Porto East to West - Half Day Tour

With this tour I invite you to slow down and enjoy the small details of the city, walking from east to west as Porto gradually reveals its history, character, and contrasts. We begin around Bonfim, a very cool neighborhood connected to the Faculty of Fine Arts but still deeply rooted in Porto’s working-class history. From there, we descend to Fontaínhas to take in views over the Douro and talk about its importance in the city’s development. We then continue into the medieval heart of Porto, stopping at the Fernandina Wall and Sé Cathedral, exploring its medieval history. The route moves through Batalha, Santa Catarina, and Bolhão Market, with their mix of local life, traditional shops, and architecture. From there, we pass through Avenida dos Aliados, São Bento, Clérigos, and Igreja do Carmo, some of the city’s main highlights before exploring Cedofeita and Miguel Bombarda, known for their art galleries and finishing at the Gardens of Palácio de Cristal. Optional stops for lunch or local food.
