Olá and welcome! I’m Ilaria, an official tour guide since 2012. Originally from Italy, I lived in Florence for many years before moving to Portugal, which I now proudly call my home. I work as a local guide in Porto, across mainland Portugal and the Azores Islands. I’m passionate about history, culture, gastronomy, legends, architecture and nature and I love to weave them together in my tours. Whether it’s a walking tour in the historic centre, a food & wine experience, a hike along the coast, or a full-day cultural journey, I’ll create an experience tailored to your interests. My tours are always rooted in sustainable tourism. I integrate cultural encounters, local traditions and gastronomy with adventure, history and nature, while supporting local communities, artists and authentic Portuguese realities. I also collaborate with local partners to offer creative workshops, such as painting traditional azulejos or learning how to make pastéis de nata — unique hands-on experiences that bring you closer to Portuguese culture. A little about me: I am passionate about art, history, nature and trekking. I truly love the ocean and enjoy running, trail running, cycling, and every kind of outdoor activity. One of my greatest joys is meeting people from all over the world and exchanging cultures and stories with them. In 2025, I took a year just for myself and embarked on a solo round-the-world journey across five continents, from January to October. Traveling alone was an incredible and life-changing experience that deeply enriched me — and I can’t wait to share this spirit of discovery with my travellers during my tours! Portugal is the country I call home, and I am especially in love with Porto and the Azores Islands, where I spend my summers. Both hold a special place in my heart. I am always happy to customize tours and accompany travellers not only in Porto but also throughout Portugal, from North to South — whether it’s a cultural experience or an adventure and trekking trip. I also love painting and writing. So far, I have published two books, with more on the way. And of course, I never miss a chance to watch a sunset with a glass of wine — to me, Portuguese sunsets are the most beautiful in the world, and I would love to share one with you! Qualifications & Practical Info: Italian Certified Tour Guide since 2012 Degree in Politics, Economy & European Institutions (University of Pavia) Certified Tour Operator & Italian Agency Director For larger groups, I can arrange a private vehicle with driver. Note: I cannot enter the Cruise Terminal but I’ll meet you at the main gate. I look forward to showing you Porto and beyond — and helping you feel Portuguese, even just for a few days!

Explore the historic heart of Porto with me on a walking tour through its most iconic landmarks and hidden corners! Porto is often described as the most authentic city in Portugal — a place where medieval, baroque and art nouveau architecture blend with colourful azulejo façades overlooking the Douro River. The historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has preserved its unique identity over centuries while embracing a vibrant modern life. During our walk, I’ll share stories, curiosities and legends that bring the city to life. We’ll stroll through lively squares, admire baroque churches, discover the elegant cafés of the Belle Époque, and wander along narrow medieval streets. Porto is not only history and monuments — it’s also about people, traditions, and flavours. Along the way, we’ll also pause to taste a local sweet in one of my favourite pastry shops. This is not a standard “checklist” tour — it’s an immersive walk through Porto’s essence, where every street and square has a story to tell
