Hi, I'm Ana, a passionate about tourism, heritage, Portugal and the North! Porto and the North of Portugal represent for me: my roots, family, authentic traditions, contact with nature, holidays, the Flavours of the land and sea, the sound of seagulls, the gentle smile, and much more!! Come with me on a visit and learn about the history, architecture and charm of Porto and the North! I will give you the opportunity to visit monuments, but also to know the unique character of its inhabitants and I will not forget to mention several curiosities and even some intrigues of the time . . . The Jewish heritage in Porto is one of my best rated tours, that I provide in this city. Join me and meet genuine and emblematic sites that enhance the history of Portugal! ✅ Some advice: If you prefer a quieter time with fewer people, I recommend making your reservation during the afternoon. The most popular tourist attractions are São Bento Station, the Lello Bookstore, and the Cathedral, especially in the morning. At the food Market Bolhão there are many people between 12:00 and 3:00 PM. Tourism and Hospitality Bachelor; Cultural Heritage Master Degree; Arouca Geopark Certified Tour Guide (included: : bridge 516, Paiva passadiços) Covid 19 fully vaccinated Clean & Safe Certificate, for Tour Guides. Over the course of two and a half hours, I will explore and explain the Jewish presence in Porto, tracing its historical context and evolution from the high medieval period to the present day. Our main focus will be on the medieval period, particularly the construction of the Jewish quarter and the subsequent loss of peace. We will discuss the conversos, or "Cristãos Novos, " and the lack of religious freedom they faced. The devastating impact of the Inquisition will also be key topic. Finally, we will examine the local Jewish community's developments after the 20th century. After conducting dozens of Jewish tours, I must say that they are the most challenging for me, and my travelers have always encouraged me to learn more and find answers to a wide variety of questions. During this tour, I will be available to share my knowledge, but also to listen to your questions and contributions.
- Cathedral square and quarter; - Esnoga stairs; - Virtudes Graden and view over Jewish hill and Monchique area; - Historical Jewish Quarter at Vitória area; - Cordoaria garden;
