Timur was wonderful. Very considerate of our ages and limitations. Sought our special memorable places for us to enjoy. Very knowledgable on the history and current status of the city and country. Timur is real pro! He is multi lingual and very knowledgeable of Portuguese history and all landmarks of Porto. He is polite and courteous to us his guests and other tourism professionals. He is a very safe driver always adhering to all road laws. We felt at ease. We asked for flexibility is places visited and duration of our visits. He accommodated with ease and curated a very personal tour for us. The highlight of the day was our lunch at the Porto marketplace. Timur know the owner of Mercado a fabulous seafood restaurant within the market. Our server, Hugo, also a friend, walked us to the fish market across from the restaurant where we chose a lovely fresh Turbot and then took it back to be prepared for our meal. Accompanied by vegetables and potatoes it was a great meal. You must tour with Timur to see the best of Porto and have a relaxed day.
Excellent walking Tour by Timur of sights throughout Porto, including visits to the Lello Bookstore, Clérigos Church and Tower, Luis I Bridge, Cathedral, Train Station, and many hidden gems. He had a great personality and easygoing style, excellent knowledge of Portuguese culture and the city (resident and raising family here the last 20 years). Also took us to a nice authentic lunch at Restaurante Abadia (The Abbey) with Polvo (Octopus), Lula (Squid), and Cabrito (Kid Goat) and then he made us reservations for the next day at Brasão Cervejaria for Francesinhua. Highly recommended.
Timur Nishan was fantastic! He was incredibly knowledgeable, not just about Porto but about Portugal and Europe, and made our trip so interesting. He showed us the non tourist spots which was much appreciated, and introduced us to Nata which was our favorite pastry! Timur was engaging, kind, friendly and made my family’s day trip to Porto so memorable. We had the best day with him and would highly recommend him.
