Hello, My Name is Rui Pedro and I'm a private guide, based at this beautiful city of Porto. I have been a private tour guide for 8 years now. Always been a passionate about history and despite having worked as a Business Manager for more than 15 years, the performance of this function allowed me to travel to several countries in Europe and South America, even living some time in Brazil and London. Overview of your Porto tour
Visit one of the most important international religious tourism destinations, famous for the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to three little shepherds on 13 May 1917 and where around 70. 000 pilgrims witnessed an event called 'Miracle of the Sun'. On the way, visit Batalha Monastery, dated of 1. 386, ordered to be built by a Portuguese King as a thank you to the Virgin Mary for the victory in the Battle of Aljobarrota against the Castilians. World Heritage by UNESCO, and where several Portuguese kings are buried. A little time to relax is necessary, to gain some energy we will make a break lunch at city of Mealhada, famous for the Bairrada roasted pig, Portuguese tradicional dish! On the return to Porto, we will visit the city of Coimbra, known as 'City of Students', where is one of the oldest universities in the world, dated 1. 290 famous for its baroque library.

We'll start by meeting at your hotel or other point of the Oporto city area. - Fatima Sanctuary, namely: the Basilica, Church of the Holy Trinity and the Apparitions Chapel - City of Batalha: Batalha Monastery - A Break lunch in the city of Mealhada, famous for the traditional roasted pig - City of Coimbra: Historic Center, University and Library At the end, we'll return back to Oporto city.
