Hello! Olá! I’m Izzy, and thank you for stopping by. Hopefully the next stop is Porto. 😊 Originally from Lisbon, Porto stole my heart back in 1998 when I moved here to study Biology. Somewhere between microscopes and food safety research, I had a realization: spending my life in a laboratory wasn’t for me. I missed people, conversation, and stories. So I followed another passion and moved to Paris, where I trained in Image, Communication and Protocol in Politics & Business. While working in those fields, I was invited to organize and accompany private tours in Portugal. That experience changed everything. I discovered what I truly loved: connecting people with places. Although I divide my time between Lisbon and Porto, Porto has been home for more than half my life. And this city is more than beautiful. It has soul. My tours are rooted in history but brought to life through storytelling. I don’t focus on memorizing dates or repeating tourist myths. Instead, I share the human stories behind the city: the people, the decisions and the moments that shaped Portugal. With me you won’t hear dramatic but false legends repeated just because they sound good. What you will get is authenticity, context and a deeper understanding of Portuguese culture. Because when you truly understand a place, you experience it differently. If you’re looking to go beyond the surface and discover the real Porto - its history, culture, food and character - I would be delighted to guide you. And if you’re comparing tours, I’ll leave you with a quote often attributed to Warren Buffett: “Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.” Hope to meet you soon in Porto. Izzy

The breathtaking Douro Valley is far more than a destination for wine lovers. Sculpted by the river, warmed by the sun, and shaped by generations of winemakers, it's one of Europe’s most spectacular landscapes and the birthplace of Port Wine. On this private one-day journey, we leave Porto behind and travel through winding mountain roads and terraced vineyards to discover the Douro at its most authentic. Along the way, you'll enjoy stunning viewpoints over the Douro River, explore charming historic villages, and experience a relaxing cruise on a traditional Rabelo boat. We’ll also visit a renowned wine estate where you can taste Port Wine while learning about the region’s rich wine-making traditions. More than a typical wine tour, this is an immersive experience into the culture, history, and landscapes of the world’s oldest demarcated wine region, perfect for travellers who seek authentic experiences.
Your experience begins with private pick-up at your hotel, as we journey into the spectacular landscapes of the Douro Valley, one of the world’s oldest demarcated wine regions. Our first stop is Amarante, a beautiful historic town rich in character and history. We continue along scenic roads to the São Leonardo da Galafura Viewpoint, where breathtaking views reveal the Douro River winding through endless vineyard terraces. We then explore Peso da Régua, the historic heart of the Port Wine trade, before reaching São João da Pesqueira, one of the valley’s oldest wine villages. Enjoy a relaxed lunch at a traditional regional restaurant before arriving in Pinhão, a postcard-perfect village surrounded by vineyards. Here you'll take a Douro River cruise aboard a traditional rabelo boat, followed by a visit to a renowned winery to taste three Vintage Ports. After a memorable day in the Douro, we return comfortably with drop-off at your accommodation.
