Porto Day Tour

Our tour with Tiago was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we met, he was prompt, professional, and warmly engaging. He began the day with a thoughtful overview of the itinerary and made sure to incorporate the specific sites and experiences we were most interested in seeing. What truly set Tiago apart was his remarkable depth of knowledge combined with an easygoing sense of humor that kept the tour both informative and enjoyable. As we explored Porto, he shared fascinating insights into the city’s history, culture, architecture, and culinary traditions in a way that felt personal and authentic rather than scripted. He was also incredibly patient and generous in answering all of our questions — including my many inquiries about Portuguese lifestyle, taxation, residency benefits, and language. His passion for Portugal and for sharing it with visitors was evident throughout the entire experience. We left feeling not only that we had seen Porto but also that we had genuinely begun to understand it. We had an awesome day touring Porto with Tiago. He is very knowledgeable about the city as he grew up here. We visited Cathedrals, local shops, museums, the train station, went on a Douro River cruise, tasted local Port wine, and enjoyed a delicious lunch at a small local restaurant. Tiago kept a very comfortable pace as this was a walking tour. He was attuned to our interests and allowed plenty of time for us to stop and explore. He had lots of suggestions about restaurants to try and other places to visit. Best of all, Tiago was fun and easygoing and made our day truly one of the best of our visit to Portugal.

We had a fantastic day touring Porto with Tiago. First we walked through the historic area of the city with Tiago providing lots of historical information as well as personal insights from his time growing up there. His itinerary was very flexible and he was able to easily incorporate our requests into the tour. Later we drove to an amazing seafood restaurant for lunch and enjoyed fish that had been caught earlier that day. Tiago is very knowledgeable as well as charming - we enjoyed spending the day with him.

Fantastic tour. Tiago was deeply knowledgeable and showed us great sites. It was wonderful to drive around and see much of the city and stop for great photo pops. It was also a special treat to go to an awesome seafood restaurant where the fish was very fresh and we were the only English speaking people. Highly recommended!
