What you may expect from the city of Braga also known as Bracara Augusta in the Roman times, city with over 2000 years old of history full of culture and traditions where history and religion lives side by side in harmony. The Bom Jesus Sanctuary is a impressive place with 17 landings stairway decorated with fountains and statues in Baroque style before reaching the church and the cave right on the top of the hill. From here, you also have an excellent view over to the city and the surroundings. We will be travelling at a slow pace and relaxing way free of tight schedules. In between, we will also make few stops in different places for short walks, photo shooting and enjoy the scenery. I can customize this tour according to your requests.
- Pick up in agreed location in Porto - The driving time to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus takes around 45 min - Once in the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus, classified as World Heritage you will have enough time to visit the site at your own pace - Then we will go by car to Braga city center and start by visiting the Cathedral in Braga (entrance fee included) - From the Cathedral, we will stroll on foot around the historical city center to see in more detail the highlights, churches, building architecture, the main square and much more - Return to Porto to drop off point or any other area.
