My name is João, a native son of Porto. I've been a certified Tourism Animator for the last 7 years, a Gentleman Rider for a few decades now and most importantly, in love with my city, her stories and importance in the World history. After a successfull, but not very fullfilling, career in management, I decided to create experiences that would allow me to work on and share my passions: my classic motorcycles, the love of my city, history and storytelling ( yes, I talk a bit!) That combination came together naturally to create my tour experiences that use the old neighborhoods, landmarks, viewpoints and facades to tell you the history and stories of Porto. ( It also allows me to start tours with guests and end with friends. ) My tours focus on: Porto history, local stories, local perspective, locals and their habits, landmarks, vistas; viewpoints, photography and wine tasting. After being a tourism guide for 7 years I realize that meeting new people and seeing them fall in love with Porto is what I really love to do. The perfect All Day Overview of Porto with 2 local wine tastings! From your hotel the rhythm is slow-paced with conversation, historical facts, great views & lots of photos! Through the historic center, we’ll see neighborhoods like the Cathedral, Miragaia, Massarelos, Foz. Time to cross the river to Gaia, see the famous D.Luis bridge, the Port wine neighborhood and some of the best viewpoints of Porto! Let's make our way to a small fishermen's village for amazing fresh fish lunch! ( lunch not included) After lunch we'll make our way back to the city and visit Bolhão Market. Joao made this tour extra special! Punctual knowledgeable, and a lot of fun as a person, Joao educated & entertained us, and answered all our questions. His vehicle made the tour that much more enjoyable (he is a great driver!) and allowed us to access places efficiently for the amount of time we had in beautiful Porto! We highly recommend Joao.
Thoroughly enjoyed the personalized tour of Porto on the motorcycle and sidecar! Joao is very knowledgeable about the history of the city and his descriptions added greatly to the experience. He knows his way around and he knows the owners of the restaurants so we had no trouble getting a table for lunch at the best location and with an outstanding menu. He was very attentive to our needs and made the day a perfect one with many memories captured in pictures with ideal settings and views of Porto.
Douro Valley is an absolute "must visit" place in northern Portugal, located only 60mi east of Porto, provides unforgettable vistas, joyriding through winding mountain roads and twisted valleys. Vineyards, terraced hillsides, and olive trees for as long as eye can see overlooking beauty of Douro River. Several wineries along the way offer local flare to this tour along with very informative conversation you will have with your knowledgeable tour host. Time will fly by leaving you with timeless memories.
This tour was FABULOUS! It was unique, thorough, super fun, and informative. I would highly recommend it to anyone, including families with kids (or bored teenagers in our case).

i'm the only sidecar experience in Porto so expect a unique and glamorous experience: Classic looking motorcycle with sidecar, with modern engine and brakes. Room for 2 passengers, one on the sidecar and the other on the back of your private driver/guide.
