Come enjoy one of the most beautiful nature walks in Portugal. The views are overwhelming and worth stopping with some frequency to regulate the breath and at the same time contemplate the landscape. The river Paiva is one of the cleanest rivers in the world with a very clean flow, with pure water and is considered by nature lovers, the most beautiful river in Portugal. With so many titles and praise, you could not miss the chance to visit the Paiva valley and no the FAMOUS "516" longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world A wood course of about 8 km, almost all in structures suspended in the valley always following the rocky and steep slopes along the left bank of the river Paiva. Areinho beach invites us for a swim if you want to enjoy a relaxing bath in the river.
From the initial reach out to the execution of the tour itself, Pedro was excellent. We traveled with a large family and his expertise and attention to detail were top notch. We felt so well taken care of the entire time. No obstacle was an issue for Pedro as he made sure to take care of every aspect of the trip so that we didn't have to worry. The bridge was spectacular and the walkways were so unique. Would highly recommend Pedro and this tour.
I can't sing the praises of this tour enough! Pedro drops you off at one end of the trail, and picks you up at the other end of the trail. I had perfect weather and the scenery is stunning, as you walk along the Paiva river. There are about 500 stairs up and down, and 90% of the time you are walking on a boardwalk with a hand railing. But the amazing part of this tour is the 516 metre suspension bridge 175 metres about the Paiva river! Scary, yes, but exhilarating! Thank you Pedro for a wonderful day
We were a group of 6 friends, had a fantastic day to the Arouca Bridge and Paiva Walkway with Pedro. Pedro is an excellent tour guide, really nice, clean car, very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. He gave us many recommendations, historical facts and stories about not only Porto, but Portugal in general. He prepared nice sandwiches, snacks and drinks for us. Would definitely recommend him!
*Departing time 8h30/9h30am from Porto(!) to Arouca montain and 516 Arouca bridge. *Arrival at the beginning of the "Passadiços do Paiva", I will leave you here at the beginning and I will wait for you at the end of the route that is about 8Km from here or if you. But, if you prefer to do just the 516 Arouca bridge, I'll be waiting at the end, you decide the plan for the day. *Free Hiking of about 2h30 through the only course that is well informed. *I'll be at the end of the course waiting for you with a Picnic Lunch prepared by me or I can take you to a typical restaurant to eat perhaps the famous Veal Arouquesa (not included) *Return to Porto
