Cześć! (means Hi in Polish language) My name is Anna. What I like the most in life is talking to my foreign friends and taking them around our beautiful city of Warsaw. Guiding is not only my job, but it's my way of life. I've been a certified Warsaw tour guide for the last 16 years. From the beginning of my professional life I've been working in tourism After having worked for the big international touroperators, I decided to work as a tour guide in Poland. I was born in Warsaw and I see how the city has been changing througout the years. Today I try to uncover its charm to tourists by talking about its history, telling you some funny stories about famous people, showing the most important places as well as some secluded, cosy nooks. I have visited many places on Earth. I am amazed by the wonders of nature, fascinated by different cultures and people who, although living in distant places, are so similar to each other. We all look for a beautiful view to admire, an interesting person to talk to and an exciting story to listen over a nice cup of coffee. I will do my best to give you all of these. I organize tours in Warsaw and also outside of Warsaw. Each of the offered itineraries, can be adjusted to your specific needs or personal requests. Do not hesitate to ask questions or drop some ideas you might have found on the internet or heard from your friends. I will be glad to check it out for you and add to the itinerary. If you want to build a few day program, I will be happy to do it. Come and enjoy. On this tour we will NOT visit the most visited part of Warsaw which is the Old Town, Royal Route or Lazienki Park. It doesn't mean they are not interesting. They are lovely and I will be happy to take you there on my other tours. But the aim of this tour is to show you the city the way we locals experience it everyday. The itinerary of the tour may vary depending on the day you book it, because some attractions (like local markets) are available on certain days only. First of all, we will use the public transportion which is clean, safe and efficient. Secondly, don't book or plan any meals after the tour because I would like you to experience the city also by tasting our local specialties. This tour is a mix of history, local experience and food. Last but not least I don't really know how long the tour will take. I plan it for 6 hours but there are so many great places I would love to show you that we never know where we finally end up. Let us seize the moment and enjoy life.
I cannot give you an exact itinerary, as it may vary, depending on the day of the week and the season of the year. * But for sure I will take you to most fashionable places where hipsters go out in Warsaw. * As Warsaw Uprising was the most powerful moment in the history of city, I will take you to places connected with this event which are not located in the city center to help you understand the spirit of Warsaw. * We will go to the right bank of Vistula River which is so different than the city center. It used to be the dangerous site of the river but it has changed significantly within last few years and it keeps changing becoming a popular spot for locals on the map of Warsaw. * If you book your tour on the day the local market is organised we will visit it for sure. We cannot miss it as it shows the best the local life. * The tour would not be completed without tasting Polish Vodka, so my suggestion is to visit Polish Vodka Museum where you can find out a lot about this Polish specialty.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
On this tour we will use the public transport (subway, buses, trams) but we will also walk a lot. Be prepared for a lot of walking.
