Overview of your Warsaw tour:

The right bank of the Vistula river was for a long time a murky, rundown no-go zone, but for a couple of years now it has been enjoying its revival, attracting young people, artists and film-makers alike. And for a reason, this is considered to be an "exotic" Warsaw, with several pearls from its multicultural past unavailable anywhere else, as well as a very specific ambience, if not even local folklore. Besides its own slang, Praga even has its proper culinary culture you will be able to taste. For decades, it has been a crossover of Polish, Jewish, Russian and other cultures, which have all left their marks - often surprisingly and requiring some effort to be discovered. Therefore, doing a guided tour with a born and raised local like myself would be well worth it. I'll take you to discover some great pieces of street art including splendid murals! Some time ago already, I personally fell under the charm of this place and keep discovering new gems all the time. So get ready to cross the river with me!

Your Warsaw tour itinerary

-We will start our tour at St. Florian Cathedral and see the triangle of temples of 3 religions that for long dominated this part of Warsaw: catholic church, orthodox church and the place where once the Round Synagugue stood and where old mykva still exists. -We'll then take a walk through the streets, admiring old beautiful tenant houses, sometimes having a peek inside a gate or two. ·We'll be able to pass through Praga Museum too, hiding one of the most surprising sites: old Jewish prayer houses which during communist times were turned into car and tailor workshops and only recently re-discovered by coincidence (!) ·By this time of the tour, since we'd probably get hungry, you could take the chance to find out what "pyzy" & "flaki' are and how they taste! ·Later I will show you some 19th century signs of the tsarist Russia presence, and end the tour at Dworzec the Wileński metro station. This itinerary can be customised, and I can perform the tour in English, German, French, Russian, Spanish & Polish.
