Hello! My name is Jola. I live in Warsaw and I am fascinated with this place. That's why, some 20 years ago, I decided to study Warsaw history, architecture, culture, etc. to become a fully-qualified city guide. Some time ago, after years spent in international corporations, I gave it up and became a full-time tour guide. I've also engaged, as a volunteer, in documenting architectural details of old tenement houses in Warsaw and regular cleaning works on the historical Jewish cemetery. I love traveling, meeting new people, discovering different cultures and traditions. I am easy going and energetic person, passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with other people. I always try to make my guests feel like they're spending time with a friend. I'm eager to share with you my passion for Warsaw. I'd like to tell you the story of the rich, elegant city which almost disappeared from the Earth during WW2, but then was reborn like the Phoenix , the city formed by the communists in accordance with their ideology, the city that changed completely its face after 1989. I'd like to follow with you the traces of Frederic Chopin, Maria Curie, Icchak Singer, admire beautiful royal residences: Wilanow and Lazienki, and visit the places perfect for taking a deep breath and relax. You may find inspiration for a tour in one of my descriptions. Let me be your guide and show you the treasures that my city offers to visitors. You will discover the fascinating story of the beautiful city that was destroyed by the Nazis and then reborn like a Phoenix from the ashes. I will take you to the maze of the Old Town and reveal to you the beauty of narrow streets and small alleys. You will hear the story of the Warsaw Mermaid and other strange creatures that can be found here. If you have a big dream I will guide you to The Bell that can make it come true :-) We can stop for a short break to drink some coffee or to taste some local delicacies, take a breath in a nice park full of greenery, follow the footsteps of Chopin or Madame Curie. . . Jola is without any doubt one of the best and nicest tour guides I have had the pleasure of meeting. From our first meeting she gelled with my group and joined in with our camradarie and friendly banter. Over the three days I had booked Jola to show us around Warsaw and Treblinka she was incredibly knowledgeable and informative. She quickly assessed the group of seven and could see what we were interested in and tailored the visits accordingly. She went above and beyond in terms of effort that I have ever experienced from any other tour guide and patiently answered all our questions. She did not call time at the end of each tour and was only too happy to extend the tour to show us things she knew we would be interested in. By the end of our three days together my group felt we had made a new friend and we were sorry to part when our last tour finished.

As each tour is adjusted to your needs, this is only a suggestion that can be modified: - Meeting in your hotel or at the agreed place - Visiting the Old Town with the Royal Castle, St. John Cathedral, the Market Square, Warsaw Mermaid monument, the Vistula escarpment, Defensive Walls (historical city center) - 1. 5 h - A coffee break (optional) - 15 min - Walking alongside the Royal Route: old churches (including the unique church of St. Anne with its hidden garden), residences, and monuments - 45 min - Visiting the historical Saxon Garden with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, watched over by a military honor guard - 30 min - The tour ends at the agreed place.
