Dear Travelers, Welcome to Warsaw - a beautiful and energetic city with a fascinating history. My name is Ewa Bo B. I have been a licensed city guide since 2003, and will help you discover this amazing city. "Fall in Love with Warsaw" has been an official slogan here for years. Me and my colleagues have contributed to the fact that many travelers really did fall in love with this city! Perhaps you will become the next Warsaw admirer with my help? This city is my life and my hobby. Other hobbies of mine are history and architecture. I will tell you thrilling facts about the twisted history of Warsaw, anecdotes from the lives of Frederic Chopin, Marie Curie and other famous people as well as stories from the communist times which I remember very well. The ultimate goal of every tour is to make my clients feel comfortable. Therefore, I will adjust my story to your interests and my pace to your pace. Feel free to tell me your wishes or ask questions. I can be helpful in arranging leisure time for you (concerts, museums, shopping), recommend good restaurants and just make you feel happy in Poland. we will drive 90 km east of Warsaw to the remnants of the extermination camp where over 800 000 Jews were killed between 1942 and 1943. The gas chambers set up here started to kill the Jews in June 1942. Every day fright trains loaded with the Jews were arriving at the ramp in the camp. Within an hour everybody was killed. The death factory was operating for over one year. Then the Nazis decided to erase the camp. The massive graves were ploughted over. However those who escaped after the 1943 revolt described the atrocities. According to these testimonies the model of the camp was accomplished and placed in the museum on the ground. Next to it the Monument to victims of the death camp was set up in 1962.
