Welcome to Warsaw, Best European Travel Destination of 2023! I am Sebastian and I am very pleased to welcome you in my city where I was born and raised. Having travelled the world, lived and worked for 12 years in Paris and Amsterdam, I came back here only to re-discover Warsaw with its unique beauty and character on its own. I became a professional Guide because there is no other place like here with such turbulent history and such dynamic present. It would be my utmost pleasure to show it to you. My favourite parts of the city are its off-the-beaten-track right-bank part called Praga, the Royal Route including the Old Town, communist era monuments as well as numerous parks and palaces. All of these offer a myriad of authentic details of the small architecture, the witnesses of history. I adore the many places where modern buildings are created with respect to the old. In my tours I would like to help you understand the city, feel like a local, not only get you astonished at times but also make you laugh and have fun. I can design a tour following your preferences depending on your interests and the time you have. As my professional career has focused on two fun categories - beer and chocolate - you can expect some guidance also here if needed . I deliver tours in English, French, German, Spanish, Polish and Russian, and also cooperate with official guiding service of The Royal Łazienki Park. So, hop on and discover Warsaw with me! Guide Service Official Tour Guide of Warsaw (license number 865/P-XXXIV/2022) Accredited at official Guide Service of The Royal Lazienki Park Academic Teacher (Kozminski Academy) Driving License and own car (VW Passat 2018) Best available on weekends, Polish bank holidays and during the week after 4 PM (earlier on Fridays). Both royal residences are splendid examples of European architecture and are must-see locations in Warsaw - Wilanów as a gem of baroque, Łazienki's Palace on the Island as one of the most original examples of classicism. Almost a century of age difference between them, both remain equally fascinating. Wilanów, unjustly called 'Polish Versailles', is all the opposite from Versailles, staring from the fact it formed the scenery of one of the most romantic love affairs in the Polish royal history. Palace on the Island of Łazienki, originally created as a 17th century spa, was rebuilt a century later by the last Polish king, who in the turbulent and stressful times at the dawn of the 18th century treated it as his refuge of peace and relaxation, his place on Earth. The hosts care and love for these premises are visible still today. The gardens can be admired at any season - with scents of blossoming flowers in spring, lush greenery in summer, feast of colours in fall and graceful illuminations in winter.
As an accredited guide at Royal Łazienki Park and expert of Wilanów architecture and art I will have a pleasure to propose you the following itinerary: We will start at the upper part of Łazienki to see the outside of Belweder, a palace at the disposal of Polish Presidents as well as Chopin Monument. Then we will move on to the Old Orangerie, completed in 1788, hiding the true treasure - one of the last two remaining 18th century court theatres in Europe. From there we will head to the heart of the park - Palace on the Island - to admire its facades and superb interiors. After seeing the Theatre on the Island with its astonishing setup, we will visit the last building - Myslewice Palace once hosting Richard Nixon and Indira Ghandi. For the second part of the tour we will go by car to Wilanów palace where, after visiting the most exuberant rooms and decorations, listening to the story of king Jan and queen Mary, we will take a stroll in its resplendent French-style gardens.
