Cześć! (means Hi in Polish language) My name is Anna. What I like the most in life is talking to my foreign friends and taking them around our beautiful city of Warsaw. Guiding is not only my job, but it's my way of life. I've been a certified Warsaw tour guide for the last 16 years. From the beginning of my professional life I've been working in tourism After having worked for the big international touroperators, I decided to work as a tour guide in Poland. I was born in Warsaw and I see how the city has been changing througout the years. Today I try to uncover its charm to tourists by talking about its history, telling you some funny stories about famous people, showing the most important places as well as some secluded, cosy nooks. I have visited many places on Earth. I am amazed by the wonders of nature, fascinated by different cultures and people who, although living in distant places, are so similar to each other. We all look for a beautiful view to admire, an interesting person to talk to and an exciting story to listen over a nice cup of coffee. I will do my best to give you all of these. I organize tours in Warsaw and also outside of Warsaw. Each of the offered itineraries, can be adjusted to your specific needs or personal requests. Do not hesitate to ask questions or drop some ideas you might have found on the internet or heard from your friends. I will be glad to check it out for you and add to the itinerary. If you want to build a few day program, I will be happy to do it. Come and enjoy. Long, long time ago when Jews were suffering from hard restrictions and persecution in Western countries, they started to pray to God asking him for help. They were asking God to show them the place where they could live a decent life. God answered their prayer. A piece of paper was dropped from the sky. What was written was "Go to Poland". They didn't know where Poland was but they started their trip. Finally they arrived to a beautiful forest full of wild animals and rivers. In this forest they heard the bird's singing which sounded like "Polin". "Polin" in Hebrew language means Take a rest. So they understood this must be Poland, the place they were looking for. Of course this is just a legend which starts the visit in the museum. Except for that we rather base on facts than legends. During this tour you find out about the History of Jews in Poland from the beginning of Polish state till today. ** Tour is not available on Tuesdays, because the museum is closed on that day.
The Museum of the History of Polish Jews POLIN is located in pre-war Jewish district. * We start this tour with the visit to the Museum (2 hours) * Then I take you on a walk (1 hour) around the Museum area to see: - Rappaport Monument commemorated to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto - Mila bunker - Umschlagplatz which is the place were the train station was located. It was from this train station that Warsaw Jews were starting their last trip to Treblinka Death Camp.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
