Cześć! (means Hi in Polish language) My name is Anna. What I like the most in life is talking to my foreign friends and taking them around our beautiful city of Warsaw. Guiding is not only my job, but it's my way of life. I've been a certified Warsaw tour guide for the last 16 years. From the beginning of my professional life I've been working in tourism After having worked for the big international touroperators, I decided to work as a tour guide in Poland. I was born in Warsaw and I see how the city has been changing througout the years. Today I try to uncover its charm to tourists by talking about its history, telling you some funny stories about famous people, showing the most important places as well as some secluded, cosy nooks. I have visited many places on Earth. I am amazed by the wonders of nature, fascinated by different cultures and people who, although living in distant places, are so similar to each other. We all look for a beautiful view to admire, an interesting person to talk to and an exciting story to listen over a nice cup of coffee. I will do my best to give you all of these. I organize tours in Warsaw and also outside of Warsaw. Each of the offered itineraries, can be adjusted to your specific needs or personal requests. Do not hesitate to ask questions or drop some ideas you might have found on the internet or heard from your friends. I will be glad to check it out for you and add to the itinerary. If you want to build a few day program, I will be happy to do it. Come and enjoy. During this tour you will visit the area of former Nazi German Concentration & Extermination Camp in Majdanek located in the suburbs of Lublin in the South-Eastern part of Poland. Majdanek was probably one of the most primitive of all Nazi camps and the living conditions there were unbelievable. Wooden barracks, especially the stable-type ones, provided hardly any protection against weather conditions. When I was taking a training for being a guide there, it was in winter. I experienced myself what I couldn't understand otherwise. Inside the barracks it was colder than outside. Visit to this place will give you a chance to see one of those places of mass extermination of people during WW2. This is really a strong experience. After visit to the camp we go to Lublin to see the Old Town and to have lunch in a Jewish restaurant. Lublin was a city with a big Jewish community. One of the first Jewish printing house was open there. It was also a home town for the biggest Jewish Jeshiva in the world.
* Drive from Warsaw to Lublin 180 km (111 miles) South East of Poland (approx. 2, 5 hours) * Visit the area of the former Nazi German Concentration & Extermination Camp in Majdanek in the suburbs of Lublin. We take a walk around the area and see inside the barracks, crematorium and exhibiton. Please be aware this tour requires quite a lot of walking. We walk for approx 4 km (2 miles). * After the visit is completed we drive to Lublin for a short walk in the Old Town * Lunch in a Jewish restaurant (not included in the tour price) where you can try very traditional food of Polish Jews. * Drive back to Warsaw (approx. 2, 5 hours drive).
