I use my expertise and experince to design all the tours to be real "tours by a local". Every single one of them is slightly different from the standard offer of tours in Krakow. I will be thrilled to show you the "must-sees", recommend the "must-dos", and take you off the beaten track to mingle with the locals in Krakow and its surroundings. Please, take a look at the itineraries that I offer here for you, and if there is anything that you would like to change or add to them, just message me with a request for a customized tour. Then anything can be done! I am also happy to take you to towns and villages which are not listed here. I will be looking forward to your message. If you would like to get to know me a little better, here is a bit of background information: I was born in 1989, just two months after the first democratic election in Poland. My attitude towards my country was shaped by my family: the grandparents, all of whom still had the trauma and vivid memories of World War II, and my parents, who spent their 20s watching the long-awaited fall of communism. This background is the reason for my fascination with the 20th century history. It makes me extremely proud that after 30 years of struggle to "catch up with the West" Poland is gaining so much recognition from world travelers and I feel privileged to get to share with you the amazing history and culture of my country! For my education, I chose two faculties: Tourism and English Language & Culture. Now, after 11 years of working as a city guide and tour leader, I believe this was a perfect combination which helped me provide first-class service to my guests. My energy, sunny disposition, and fascination with Krakow are contagious and will make your visit here worthwhile never mind the weather or time of day! This a day trip for those who want to escape the crowded „top attractions in Krakow" and actually experience local life in villages and towns of our region. The sites on this trip will give us the opportunity to drive around a very picturesque area and talk about things which used to define this region: •Folk art which was very, very rich in this region, and maybe there is hope for it not to die out completely… (Check the gallery above for: Zalipie) •Great devotion of the Catholic community (Check the gallery above for: Wooden church in Skrzyszow, St. Martin's Church) •Multi-cultural communities which consisted of Christians, Jews and Roma people (Gypsies) •„Golden Age of Poland" when noble families were rich enough to establish towns (check the gallery above for pictures of Tarnow). As this is a completely private tour, we will adjust the plan to your interests and expectations.
•Pick-up at your accommodation in Krakow, •Journey to Zalipie (ca. 1h30mins), the "painted village" where women have been decorating their houses with typical folk design for over 100 years. A visit to the House of Painters and Felicja Curylowa Farmstead Museum (ca. 1h30mins) •A Journey (45mins) to a 500-year-old wooden church of St. Stanislaus in Skrzyszow, which is the biggest wooden church in the region, • Journey to Tarnów (15mins), a town which boasts one of the most beautiful town squares in Poland, spectacular Renaissance architecture, magnificent Cathedral and very multi-cultural tradition, • Tour of the town and free time for lunch in a restaurant frequented by the locals or/and coffee in the famous "Tram Cafe" (2h30mins) •Journey back to your accomodation in Krakow (ca. 1h15mins).
