Full day tour to Zakopane from Krakow

In planning a trip to Austria and Poland, my wife and I selected the Tours by Locals site to find a guide for a more personal experience. We selected Alex as our guide for two days, the first for Krakow and salt mine tours (separate feedback provided) and the second day to see the mountains and the Polish countryside. Alex did a wonderful job showing us the sites and in providing us background history of the area. Upon our return to Krakow, we had asked Alex to drop us in the Jewish quarter, as we hadn’t yet had an opportunity to visit. Alex was very accommodating in that he not only took us to the area, but he gave us a walking tour, providing us background history and dining recommendations. We found Alex extremely pleasant, friendly, and informative and would highly recommend him to other’s wishing a very positive guide experience.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our enjoyed our Day Trip to Zakopane and our brief trip across the border and into Slovakia. The day was a perfect sunny day and the scenery was gorgeous. Alek was a wealth of knowledge and was willing to modify our tour based on our wishes. Alek sole of culture and history all of which we soaked up and will bring home and share with friends.

Alex is very knowledgable, friendly and took us to very interesting sites along the way to Zacapone. We went to several Churches, an interesting museum dedicated to the 2nd most famous Polish composer and a cemetery where several important Polish artists and writers are buried. This in addition to the listed itinerary.

This was my second day with Alex and I highly recommend a tour with him. He is polite, courteous and a gentleman with an enormous amount of historical insights. Given the hail storm in Zakopane in June, we left in the afternoon. Alex remembered my interest in the Divine Mercy and he kindly stopped at this site. What a very kind gesture. Very accommodating. He is fluent in English. Wonderful day in Zakopane and at the Divine Mercy. Definitely would book again with him.

Olek is a wonderful guide. We loved every minute spent with him. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, friendly and He is an excellent driver. The next time we come to Poland, we will ask for him by name.
