The tour includes pick up from wherever point we agree on, be it a hotel, port or airport. Then the trip to Stutthof takes between 45 mins to an hour. Along the way, I will explain the historical and political history of the area and how these factors led up to the outbreak of World War 2, which symbolically started in Gdansk on September 1 1939. It is a complex story and I will go into as much detail as you wish, be it a passing interest in the subject , or a more detailed look at events. You will see on the tour of the ex-camp, where prisoners spent nights huddled together, where they were forced to work, often to death, the hospital facilities, which were designed more for killing than curing, the gas chamber and crematorians. A 20 minute film is also part of the tour, but subject to availability. If you wish to buy and books about Stutthof , you may do so in the book shop on site. I have translated some of them into English such as Himler's visit there, and another book about children in the camp.
