Hello travelers! Like you, for many years I have traveled the world in various ways. During my trips, I always tried to guide the vision of conscious traveling. Establish contacts with local guides and support local communities. That's why I would like to introduce you to my little world in which I grew up. One of the guiding thoughts that guide me when I travel is the passion for what I do. I link a few passions: to travel, history and active leisure. For three years I have been running local tours of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia and the surrounding area. Together with a group of friends, we have created an initiative associating local guides Poland By Locals. We go beyond the usual routes and we create new travel experiences. In addition to active forms of sightseeing, like cycling and canoeing. I run theme tours related to Gdańsk brewing and Polish cuisine. I also specialize in the history of the Second World War and the communist era in Poland. I also conduct trips to the Malbork Castle and beautiful areas of Kashubia. I show my guest both well-known corners of the city as well as those outside the beaten trails. I present how the life of local communities looks like, I talk about our traditions, lifestyle and show places that you can not always reach by yourself. I will always be happy to help you create a personalized trip around Poland and our region. Gdańsk is an extraordinary city with a rich and beautiful history and many monuments. It is also a city with a difficult history that connects the generations and nations living in it throughout the centuries. In its thousand-year history we can find many great moments, but one has been imprinted the most. World War II is the death of the city where the greatest conflict in history began. Let yourself be driven into a difficult lesson and a journey through Gdansk in the footsteps of World War II. I will tell you the extraordinary stories that our grandparents told at home and the stories from the streets of Gdansk.
Journey through the meanders of history: 1. We will start at Gradowa Mountain to understand the strategic location of Gdansk. 2. The next stop on our tour will be Biskupia Mountain, with original and untouched architecture form the times of the Free City of Gdansk. 3. We can not miss visiting a Gdansk Shipyard, an important place in a long history of Gdansk. 4. We are ready to travel outside the city to the Westerplatte peninsula. The first battle of World War II took place here. 5. At the end of our trip, we will cross Dluga Street to learn the history of rebuilding the city, which arose like a Phoenix from the ashes, to enjoy our eyes.
