My name is Lene, I'm 59 years old and born in Oslo. I'm educated as an engineer with a degree within economics, and got my diploma as an Authorized Oslo Guide in the year 2000. I have worked with tourists for 26 years now, and my favorite tours are the customized ones. I love to show my city and the sorrundings from all different angles - through history and storytelling, foodtasting, museums and streetart, crime- and ghostwalks, and everything that has to do with nature (walks, hikes and bicycle tours). I'm passionate about my work, and love getting in contact with people from all over the world. I like to tell the history in my way, sharing personal stories from my own life and my parents / grandparents life (I'm the 3.generation from Oslo). Funny or horrible stories are also a part of it, so that you maybe remember something when you come home... :) In Norway you need a professional driver license to drive guests for payment. My tours are either by public transportation, by foot or bike, or we can hire a car with a driver.

Join a guided walk through the almost 1000 years of history of Oslo. We'll pass important buldings, like the Royal Palace, the University of Oslo, the National Theatre, the City Hall (where the Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony takes place), the Parliament Building, the Akershus Fortress and our new Opera House. Listen to stories from the old days, and get a feeling of the Norwegian life today. Complete the experience with foodstops along our way, tasting food and beverage that is a part of the Norwegian cuisine.
We'll start our walk on the westside of Oslo, passing through our capitals most important buildings and areas. Our first foodstop will be at one of our most popular cafees, Kaffebrenneriet. Here you can try local coffee, tea or freshly squeezed juice, together with a slice of muslibread with our famous brown goat cheese. Continuing on foot along the fiord we'll have our next stop on the roof of the Opera House - built like an iceberg coming up from the sea. Here you can enjoy the view, while trying the typical Norwegian chocolate and sodadrink we bring in our backpack when we hike in the mountains or go cross country skiing. From the Central Station a tram takes us to our last stop, which is the new Foodhall on the eastside. Here you'll taste samples of different Norwegian produced cheese, dry meat (from raindeer or mouse), smoked salmon or dry cod, homemade "flatbrød" and jam. The desert can be a very popular cranberry ice cream, if there's anything left in the freezer. . . Godt måltid :)
