Hi, I'm Hiroko. Thank you very much for choosing my tour. I've been working as a licensed guide since 2008. I guide mainly for private or small groups (6 travelers) for Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Koyasan, Himeji, Hiroshima(including Miyajima), Naoshima and Teshima islands, Adachi Museum of Art. You can see not only the famous sightseeing spots but not often shown in the guide book. I'm personally interested in the art, modern art and architecture. The tour covers the attractions of Koyasan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004. Let's visit the deep mountainous sacred site and experience the tranquil atmosphere of 1200 years of history. It takes about 100 minutes from Osaka (Nankai Namba station) to Koyasan with railway and cablecar to get there. The area is a mountainous plateau at an altitude of 900 meters, so the temperature is basically about 8 degrees Celsius colder than Osaka city. Please take or wear your jacket just in case. Please prepare JPY in cash and remove your shoes off at the entrance of Japanese buildings. -IMPORTANT- 1. This tour excludes the Japan Rail Pass. 2. This tour doesn't start a hotel in Kyoto, train stations and cruise ship terminals. Please find another guide. Thank you.
This tour was our second with Hiroko having done a day touring in Osaka the previous day. Once again Hiroko’s communication and local knowledge was invaluable when it came to positioning ourselves when queuing etc. Hiroko’s passion and knowledge in regard to the history and folklore of this sacred and beautiful site was on show and made the tour a very enjoyable and memorable experience for both of us.
Our trip to Koyasan, which included a door-to-door pick-up and drop-off by our immensely reliable and knowledgable guide Hiroko-san, was an unforgettable experience. Hiroko-san’s vast area of expertise in all things Japanese history, art and culture made for a deeply personal and intimate tour of the historic site. At the same time, she is not overbearing in the least and allowed us to move at our own pace. Above all else, her genuine love and care for Koyasan creates is tangible, and contagious. Thank you again for leading us to such a beautiful, spiritual location.
The tour was amazing. Koyasan is a very special place and it has a lot of history. Hiroko is a great guide. She told us a lot of interesting facts and stories and answered all our questions. I totally recommend this tour!

Our guide HORAKO was lovely.. with a few challenges re rail getting there the Tour was very unique. One of which many overseas tourists may not know about.
I highly recommend Hiroko! She was very informative and knowable. She knows holy Koyasan. My friend and I truly enjoyed seeing all the shrines and beautiful temples. It was a stress free day! Thank you Hiroko for a magnificent day!!
- 8:00am meet at your hotel lobby in Osaka city. - take a train to Nankai Namba station. - take a 8:40 limited express train, cable car to Koyasan station. - take a bus and walk in the area. 1. Nyonindo or Daimon Gate, 2. Kongobuji temple, 3. Danjo Garan, 4. Okunoin, Lunch stop and others. Around 4pm, take a bus, cable car and limited express train to Nankai Namba station. I'll see you off at your hotel in Osaka around 6:45pm. The visiting schedule might be affected by the weather or another circumstances.
