Hello, my name is Fabio (or Fabius if you like!) and I'm a tourist guide in Rome. I was born and grown up in this wonderful city and I started this job in 2010 because I like culture and the possibility to stay in contact with people coming from every part of the world. I am a licensed tour guide but also an archaeologist: in fact I have a master in Archaeological Sciences and I continue to collaborate with the Archaeological Superintendence of Rome by publishing the new researches we are doing. I have a large experience with private and small group tours, including families with kids and schools. I like to explain every kind of monument or attraction, including museums, churches, parks and panoramas, but I am also a great fan of our typical food tradition and I can deepen this interesting aspect of italian lifestyle! I am a licensed guide in Rome with a degree and an Master in Archeological Sciences. I collaborate with the Archaeological Superintendence of Rome by publishing the new researches we are doing. I have no limitations of any kind and I can access any place of cultural interest and guide you in any of the languages I am proficient in. Even if my calendar shows no availability, feel free to get in touch. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. The goal of this Tour is not only to introduce you to architecture, art, history of the most famous places and monuments but also situating you in the city, orient you to the various areas and answer to your questions about living and moving in Rome. Our tour includes the major highlights of Rome: Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and one of the most intact temples of Rome, the Pantheon. Then we move to Navona Square, one of the most famous squares of the Roman Baroque with the magnificent Fountain of the Rivers, a masterpiece of Gian Lorenzo Bernini. As a lover and art expert I will let you discover the most fascinating places of the Eternal City by mixing anecdotes and history of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, my beloved Rome! We had a wonderful walking tour in Rome with Fabio. He has a great knowledge of the sites and does an excellent job explaining the history and significance of what we are looking at. Of particular enjoyment was our visit to the Pantheon and a church displaying three works by Caravaggio where we learned about his techniques and impact. Another highlight was our stop for gelato! We were a family of 10, but only 6 were able to go on Fabio's 4 hour walking tour. We had just arrived from the US for the Christmas/New Year's Holidays and wanted to familiarize ourselves with the City. Fabio was fabulous! He was so knowledgeable about the key sites that we visited (Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon inside and out - even Babington's Tea Room which was our meeting place! Your Rome tour itinerary
-Spanish steps -Spanish square -Barcaccia fountain -Trevi Fountain -Temple of Hadrian -Pantheon (inside) -Navona Square The itinerary can be customized according to your needs and requests. In the museums, in the archaeological sites and in general in all the Roman churches dress code for both men and women requires shoulders and knees to be covered. Shorts and skirts are fine, but below knees. Do not bring large items (e. g. large bags, backpacks, long umbrellas…) on tour because they are not permitted. -Please bring a copy of your passport (hard copy or photo on your phone) tickets are nominal and you must show a copy of your documents. -Please write me if there are people with mobility problems and if you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different.
