Hi there! I'm Angelica and I'm from Sicily. I lived in Rome since 2005 and I graduated in History of Art at the University La Sapienza in Rome. I also specialized in Contemporary Art. I'm a licensed tour guide since 2016. I always loved my jobs and, since I was a child, I always thought that I would be a tour guide because I loved sharing Italian culture and art history with other people. This is the reason why I decided to study at the University in Rome because I thought that this could be the perfect place for me to start this kind of work. In this sense, I think that Rome is a magical city with a lot of treasures that you could discover every day walking around the city. My other passions are listening to rock music, traveling, and cooking. I can organize tours according to your interests. Usually, I organize private tours for small groups of all ages, including families with younger children. I also love animals so they are welcome. Normally I organize tours inside the archeological area of the city (Colosseum, Roman Forum, Platinum), the baroque squares (Piazza di spagna, Piazza Navona) but also street art tours in the industrial district of Rome (Ostiense). Overview of your Rome tour
Come with me to discover the most important and ancient part of the city of Rome on a beautiful trip back in time. During this tour, I will explain to you the fascinating history of the roman empire and roman culture. We will visit the Colosseum, the most famous amphitheater of Roman history, where gladiators fought to the death on the arena. I will explain to you what kind of battles gladiators fought inside the arena and a lot of stories about this wonderful building! Then we will visit the wonderful area of the Roman Forum where we could explore a lot of ancient palaces, temples and monuments and walk along the famous Sacred Way that was the most important street of the city. At the end of the tour we will go to the wonderful and colorful roman district called "Rione Monti" to taste some delicious roman street food like supplì (fried meatball with rice, meat sauce and the heart of mozzarella), roman pizza and ice cream! Colosseum : -First and second floor Arch of Constantine Roman Forum: - Arch of Titus - House of the Vestal Virgins - Basilica of Maxentius - Temple of Romulus - Temple of Antonino and Faustina - Roman Senate (Curia Senatus) - Rione Monti (Largo Corrado Ricci) to taste something! -Please write me if there are people with mobility problems and if you use or need a wheelchair, the itinerary will be different -Please remember to bring your ID with you (the passport photo on the phone works) -For security reasons, all visitors must be checked with metal detectors -Only small bags/backpacks are permitted (size 40x35x15). Long umbrellas are not permitted. -I suggest to bring a hat in the summer and a small umbrella in the winter.
