What's the best way to discover ancient Rome? With an archaeologist like me, of course! I have a degree in Archeology and I have a special passion for Roman art! Our ancient Rome tour will start with Rome's most famous site, the Colosseum. Ancient world largest stadium, it was famous for the gladiatorial games, that the emperors offered to entertain the crowd. We'll see the school where the gladiators lived and trained, and the spot where the emperors would watch the spectacles. Leaving the Colosseum I will tell you about Nero's "Domus Aurea" and the great fire of Rome. We will get to the Roman Forum, which is now barely razed to ground but still full of history, and I will help you to imagine what ancient Rome was like using my book like a "time machine". Then we will dig deeper into the history of Rome to uncover the past down to the foundation of the city, on the Palatine Hill. Here you'll see the ruins of the Imperial palace but also find out that the story of Romolus and Remus is not only a legend.

We will visit the Colosseum from the inside, first and second level To continue the tour admiring the Arch of Constantine We will arrive at the Roman Forum, where we will see the ancient ruins and learn about the history of ancient Rome At the end we will conclude the tour with the Palatine Hill and we will see the Domus Augustana, the Domus Flavia and the Domus Tiberiana terrace with breathtaking panoramic view over Roman Forum and Imperial Fora Please contact me for customization. -Walking Tour. -I suggest bringing a bottle of water and to wear comfortable shoes. -During the summer, be sure not to forget a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses. -During the winter, be sure not to forget a raincoat or small umbrella. -Only small bags/backpacks (40x35x15) are permitted. -For security reasons, all visitors are to be screened with Metal Detectors.
