Ciao! My name is Romina, and I am a licensed guide with a degree in Ancient Greek and Roman archaeology and art history. I was born and raised in Le Marche, a region of central Italy. I graduated from the University of Perugia in 2000 and then moved to Rome for the love of my husband. I started working as an expert guide for school groups at the excavations of Ostia Antica, a place I consider my paradise. This experience led me to become an enthusiastic, qualified guide of Rome. I love art and history, but also food and wine. I adore ancient ruins, walls, and bricks—that’s why Rome is my perfect place. I love its monuments, churches with unexpected art treasures, Baroque squares, museums, and archaeological sites, as well as its narrow streets and lesser-known corners, its gardens, and its more modern neighborhoods. I never get tired of the “Eternal City”; I never stop learning—Rome always has something new to reveal. I would like to share my passion with everyone who wants to experience it. My tours are suitable both for tourists visiting Rome for the first time and for those who have already been here. In addition, if you would like to experience the beautiful surroundings of Rome, I offer tours to Tivoli, ancient Ostia, and the Roman Castles. I am used to working with both groups and private individuals. I am very flexible and friendly with adults and children. All the tours I guide are customizable. Get in touch with me, and let’s talk about it! Qualifications and Experience - Degree in Greek and Roman archaeology and art history, University of Perugia - 5 years of experience as a didactic guide in Ostia Antica - 17 years of experience as an officially licensed guide of Rome and its surroundings. If my calendar appears unavailable, please contact me anyway. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel or port via the driver. I’ll meet you at the meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Rome had been built layer by layer over the centuries. I love saying that It's like a large 'Lasagna'! We will start our tour with a clear example of that: The Saint Clemente's Basilica, where we go down 30 feet to reach the 1st century A. D level while up above there are 2 further more recent and visible layers. Several buildings had been built one on top of the other. Then We will reach the Colosseum, the icon of the Eternal City, where games of high popularity, such as hunts and gladiatorial fights, took place. We will visit the Roman Forum, the center of public life for over a millennium from the foundation of Rome to Imperial times, where there are remains of political, religious and representative buildings. We will go up to the Palatine hill where Rome was founded, with the massive ruins of The Imperial Palace.
-Saint Clemente's Basilica with undergrounds -Colosseum: Arena Stage (as optional), first and second ring -Arch of Constantine -Palatine Hill (Emperors' Palace) -Roman Forum: Arch of Titus Temple of Julius Caesar Temple of Saturn House of the Vestal Virgins Basilica of Maxentius Temple of Romulus Temple of Antonino and Faustina Arch of Settimius Severus Roman Senate (Curia Senatus) The itinerary can be customized to your preferences: The itinerary could be on the reverse according to Colosseum time slot tickets.
